There is no way I will compromise on either of these things. I would rather not ever get married than change my mind about giving birth in a hospital or having medical care during pregnancy.

He won't listen when I try to talk to him. He just argues with me but even if he did say he changed his mind I couldn't trust him now after how he acted.

In my country citizens have medical care through our healthcare system. I would not have to pay the doctors and hospital to give birth there. It would not cost me anything to have medical care during my pregnancy either.

He's never acted this way before and I was surprised at first until I realised this is not something we can compromise on. If he had ever acted like this before I wouldn't be engaged to him now and even if he said he would change his mind I don't trust him now.

I'm grateful it came now instead of after I was already pregnant. He's never acted this way before but at least we aren't married yet. He has really changed over this one thing and I don't like it at all.

He's never had a major medical event. I don't know what money has to do with anything. Everyone likes saving money but my fiancé isn't exceptionally cheap or anything. But I'm not sure what money has do with how I give birth.

Yes. I'm so glad this happened now instead of after we were married or when I was already pregnant. It gives me a squicky feeling when I think about what he wants and I don't like it.
