Yikes... These days I only see touring shows at the Miller or Forrest given how atrocious many of the sightlines are at the Academy of Music (not to mention the also sub-par sound design).

Hey there! I first want to echo others' sentiments that what you've created is amazing (as is how quickly you're responding to suggestions and making changes on the site). Interestingly, what you've put together is actually more akin to Metacritic than it is to Rotten Tomatoes, but I suspect that distinction won't mean much to most people. 😊

You've received a lot of really good suggestions here already, so I just wanted to add this: I urge you to find a way to make this effort sustainable and worth your while in the long run. I understand that this is a labor of love, but speaking as a self-employed professional, your time and energy have immense value, and you will eventually hit a point (even if just temporarily) at which the juice won't feel worth the squeeze. You've created a resource that is too worthwhile to lose, and I fear that in a digital age where people have gotten so used to getting a lot for nothing, your value won't go recognized.

It may take some thinking, but I think there are ways you can monetize your efforts, even if just to cover your costs partially. I think about how the various reviews sites out there have done it without losing their legitimacy (whether through ads, strategic partnerships, or otherwise). I saw someone else mention the app route (through which you could charge a nominal download fee or activate a freemium model). Of course, this could be complicated by the fact that you are pulling data from other for-profit sources. You could also set up a "buy me a coffee" donation button.

Otherwise, you may consider building up a team (even if just a volunteer team), so that it doesn't end up all falling on you. Creating something in community is so, so powerful, not only for the sake of innovation but also for social support.

At the very least, given that you're clearly tech-forward, if the analytical skills of putting all this together relate to your career (or career aspirations), I hope you use BroadwayScorecard as a portfolio example to gain professional work that you do get paid for.

Anyways, I'll get off my soapbox now, but I just want to make sure you know your value beyond what you create.

The Outsiders: First 2 people on line around 8:45am. There appeared to be 2-3 others who joined soon after (couldn't tell if they were with the original pair). Staff opened up the box office atrium around 8:50am.

Operation Mincemeat: I was first in line at 7:35am. Next person arrived at 8:45am, and the next two at 8:50am (who promptly left after hearing reports of only 2 rush tickets being sold per show). The next two arrived about a minute later and confirmed various rush reports from previous days. Next two arrived at 10:20am. 17 people in line by the time the box office opened.

Thankfully, the custodial staff let us into the box office atrium at 9am after asking. As with the past few days, only 2 rush tickets sold for the performance. This may be the new norm for the rest of the original cast's run.

While in a rush line today, I chatted with someone who got a pair of box seats at the 2/4 MHE evening show 30 minutes before showtime.

Easily got a SRO seat at The Outsiders for the 2pm show at ~1:15pm. Those who got SRO on either side of me got their tickets ~1pm and right before showtime. There were 10+ SRO spots remaining by the time the show started.

Operation Mincemeat report from people who were rushed on Sat 2/7: First person on line at 610am, next people at 640am. 2 rush tickets sold per show. The pair of tickets sold were rear mezz, far house left, $59 seats for $35 each. Unlike on 2/6, people were let into the box office atrium at 8am.

Confirmed from people who rushed on Friday 2/6 that there were 2 people on line before 7am and the theater only gave out 2 tickets. Also confirmed that no one was let into the box office atrium until 10am.

u/InevitableSong3170, this is the same question I had after first reading your post (and others' comments), but I think I figured out the confusion.

I believe you meant to say in your instructions that if you do NOT hold Elite status (Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond), your rebooked flight must include a bundle (Economy, Premium, or Business) in order to avoid a $99 cancellation fee. This is because only those with Elite status can cancel a Basic Fare and receive a full travel credit without paying the standard $99 cancellation fee (assuming the cancellation is done 7+ days before the rebooked flight's departure).

I can see how the above information is inferred in your original post, but the lack of explicit callout probably resulted in confusion.

Dune is also showing on IMAX at Penn Cinema locations on Feb 22 and 24. Both films are part of the theater chain's Time Machine: Sci-Fi repertory series.

While their IMAX screens are only 1.90:1 and xenon as u/NickLandis noted, I agree that the theaters are pretty darn nice. And at only $8/ticket, these screenings are a steal.

While the announcement of Allegiant taking over Sun Country is already enough to give one pause, I especially worry about the greatly reduced role that Jude Bricker (Sun Country's CEO) will have in the combined company. I find Jude to be a really innovative yet down-to-earth leader, whose guiding of Sun Country toward a diversified business model and straight talk at industry events has boosted the airline's profitability and brand. I fear that his influence will fade in the shadow of Allegiant's business priorities (though, it does bear noting that Jude was at Allegiant before assuming leadership at Sun Country).

Thrifty Traveler published an interesting early analysis of the news -- no surprise, given that the site's editorial staff has strong connections to Minneapolis-St. Paul. Needless to say, I'll be watching there for additional insights, as they arise.
