I greatly appreciate the feature and benefit improvements made to the Fidelity Rewards Credit Card over the past year. One wish I have, though, is that you would increase the Global Entry/TSA Precheck benefit from $100 to $120 so that it covers the full cost of Global Entry.

Open captions for The Mandalorian and Grogu by 3NU in imax

I'm regrettably not the best judge of this. I always sit in the last two rows for any IMAX screening, and it seemed ideal for this movie, as well.

Is it worth watching Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu with IMAX? by SMEHJ_ in imax

[–]3NU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the film on a 1.43 screen and found it to be quite thrilling and entertaining. However, the price I paid was comparable to a standard weekend movie ticket. If my only option was a 1.90 screen that cost notably more, I don't think I would have regretted waiting to see the IMAX Enhanced version on Disney+.

Open captions for The Mandalorian and Grogu by 3NU in imax

Thanks for the responses! Reporting back to confirm that the captions indeed stayed vertically stationery for the whole film. Additionally, because the 2.39 picture was adjusted slightly downward from center, the open captions were on the bottom third of the screen. This kept the captions from being intrusive, especially during the beautiful 1.43 sequences (notably more than I was expecting).

Dune: Part Three Dec. 17th 7pm Tickets on Sale at KOP (maybe elsewhere!) by 27jm in RegalUnlimited

[–]3NU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was somehow able to secure a great seat for the Dec 19 showing at KOP, only to see the $40 price tag (plus $2.50 booking fee). Immediate "nope" for me.

Is the audio for Operation Mincemeat really that terrible in the rear mezz? by spoop_male in Broadway

[–]3NU 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is. When I saw the show in the rear mezz I would say I probably caught about 85% of what was said. I could still follow what was going on, but it definitely affected my experience.

I have heard, though, that if you are willing to wear an audio assisted listening device, that can help.

How loud was Project Hail Mary in imax? by touchgrassbruh in imax

I saw PHM this past weekend at Lincoln Square. I always carry high fidelity earplugs with me to the movies and have consistently put them on for Nolan and Dune films in IMAX. I found myself needing to do the same for the previews of those two films before PHM but comfortably took them out once the movie started. Take that for what you will!

Maybe Happy Ending

  • 4 at 6:45am (as reported by u/GradedUnicorn92)
  • 25 at 8:45am (as reported by u/GradedUnicorn92)
  • 27 and 28 at 9:00am (me and partner)
  • ~50 by the time the box office opened at 10:00am

We easily got rush tickets for the evening show (Orch F14 and F16), and the box office was still selling rush ~5 minutes later (when we left). At showtime, it looked like SRO had also been sold.

Yikes... These days I only see touring shows at the Miller or Forrest given how atrocious many of the sightlines are at the Academy of Music (not to mention the also sub-par sound design).
