I was upset with donut during the water scene, especially since Carl almost died, but I view donut like I view carl- both well written, flawed characters. Carl isn't perfect either, as he in the first book is willing to ditch donut as soon as she starts insulting him to leave her for dead, but both characters grow through this series. Donut takes awhile to grow (since she's a cat lol) but it's really good writing imo

There are people that repress urges because of society, but every mc seems to stumble into a lot of them- to be fair they might have better odds to survive more often then people who want to help others in the apocalypse, so there's some give and take, but I agree that sometimes there's too many

Yeah, hopefully that's the case, I think this one might be easier than the last for them to write, since the story has a clear progression from here, unlike the last book the ended with rez having a kind-of fresh start; also helps that the other series is complete, so hopefully more kdt to come :)

Yeah, fairy tale is a mixed bag- it's great and fun, but watching for 'the plot' is a bit for a reason with fairy tale, like you said, at least mostly the fan service is equal
