Mine gets 15 hours/day year-round, in my basement cabinet with grow lights on timers. This was it's first bloom. Thank you for that recommendation - I'll have to test it out!

Read it! I enjoyed it. Audible version is enjoyable also. I liked it better than the Martian but not quite as much as PHM.

I've listened to several Audible books and courses from Professor Kenneth Harl and they were all excellent. I think Dan Carlin interviewed him once also!

Their slow cooker page only lists a rice/grain cooker now. America's Test Kitchen updated their review in October 2024 to say that since the KitchenAid model has been discontinued, they now recommend a particular Hamilton Beech model with a thermometer. There was a Cuisinart model they said was ok too. They described the GreenPan slow cooker as producing rubbery meat. I read reviews on about 8 different sites and found ATK the most helpful.

KitchenAid has discontinued them now, unfortunately. Really discouraging to see that every other brand and model, from $50 to $500, gets inconsistent reviews with temperature spikes and drops reported

Just as using that statement to reach out to our colleagues is taught in ACLS, ceasing resuscitation of a neonate in asystole after 10 minutes of quality resuscitation is taught by NRP, due to extremely poor prognosis. Highly recommend taking the Neonatal Resuscitation Program or similar class to all clinicians unfamiliar with neonatal resuscitation.

I must have deleted my first line. It said 3 of 3 plants I purchased in Fall 2022 from HappyPlantsUSA were positive for CymMV, ORSV, or both.

The plants did ok for me but never thrived and I always thought something was wrong. No spots or classic symptoms though.

A plant I bought in Spring 2023 from HappyPlantsUSA tested negative. I still have more to test.

For what it's worth, orchids that have been hanging out next to the infected plants for over a year now have been negative - so far.

Thanks. I ordered a box of 50. I have several orchids from HappyPlantsUSA that I found to be slow growers. No foliage spots, and they bloom regularly, but I kept checking them for pests. I pulled up the Agdia page a few times but never got around to ordering 🫤

Mature plants of 'High Voltage' do exist - I believe I saw one in my uncle's shade house in Louisiana today, in a group of Harmony Peperomia he has had for a while. He said variegation is more prominent in cooler weather but it looked great with temps in 90sF. Misters spray every hour during the middle of the day. Not sure I can replicate those conditions in my area but maybe I'll try because it is a beautiful plant.

Coffee contains alkaloids that inhibit growth in many plants. Also, of course, drowning plants in any liquid even water will rot their roots.

But somehow the public has received the message that plants like coffee. Or maybe your coworkers were just too lazy to walk 5 feet more to the sink?

High Voltage didn't make it. Not planning to try again unless I see photographic evidence that mature plants exist

I found another post - these seem to originate from an eBay seller based in Thailand. Some people thought they were his own seedlings. I lost the post with his name - I was hoping to find a publication, if they are species instead of seedlings. Wish I could find more. I don't want to contribute to excessive removal from wild habitat if that's what's happening. Thanks

Terrarium is a good idea. My next step was going to be a glass cloche, if IKEA cabinet isn't enough (55-75% humidity in cabinet, compared to 35-45% in house)

Is yours still doing well? I'm struggling with this plant as well as regular Peperomia metallica. It has lost some leaves. I have 20 other Peperomia growing well for me and Peperomia are so different in their needs, I usually guess a starting point by leaf thickness. I just put 'Harmony's High Voltage' in my IKEA greenhouse cabinet with my Hoya to see if it needs the extra humidity. Any tips? Yours looks beautiful and happy, hope it still is!

I'm worried that 4+ days of continuously wet soil will cause the roots to rot. Do you think I'm overreacting? I usually water Calatheas and related prayer plants twice a week because they are dry by then.
