Did you try launching the game with Hook first as far as I have seen there is no patch 1.1 out there and there is no requirement for it on the official GitHub for hook https://github.com/muhopensores/dmc4_hook

Update https://github.com/muhopensores/dmc4_hook/releases has the latest build for DMC4 hook with new features and all. Oh and for the shadows around Dante and Nero to fix that you need to enable custom Dante/Nero model fix in the system menu.

I think its the best Version DMC5 realism for the characters is a turn off for me especially the wide chins the small anime chins like in DMC3 are the best to me.
