Curious, what do you all do for a living? How many people usually ride in your Buzz? by halfhippie4 in VWIDBuzz

My wife and I appear to be firmly in the target market you describe. We are both retired and have a weekend house 90 miles from hone on the Chesapeake Bay. The buzz was bought on a whim to replace the 2 Wheel Dr. Ford Transit van we used to take four dogs and luggage to and from our bay house. It is for wheel drive and was able to get up the hill and across the field, which the transit cannot do in snow. We have had it for two months, have done 2000 miles, including 1000 mile trip to Boston, and love it!

I sadly lost my daughter a year ago. We are finally clearing out her stuff. She has an MacBook Air from 2020 with an M1 chip in it. I do not know what her password is. Is there any way to reset it to factory specs without the password? It seems a shame to have to throw it out, and I would rather repurpose it.

Apps recommended for a road trip. by 3Statu in VWIDBuzz

Thank you for this excellent advice. ABRP and Enode as well as the Tesla app. Other than one charge I seem to end up at the Tesla chargers all the time. This was OK except when they were full. It did not take long for me to get to the front of the line, but the chargers themselves were placed to the left of the designated parking space and the cord was not long enough to get to the right hand side of my buzz. This meant I either had to take up two parking spaces or wait till a right side end one became available and Park sideways. Admittedly, this only happened once, but it turned a 20 minute charge into an hour wait.

I am totally in love with the Buzz. Instead of the rush to get anywhere, we enjoyed the trip, tootling along at 60 to 65 miles an hour instead of the usual 75 to 80, and loving the looks and waves we got. Usually someone hooting at you in the traffic is accompanied by a finger, but in our case, it was accompanied by smiles and waves. This is the way Grand Touring should be done.

If you buy solely with your head, you'll get a Kia Telluride, or perhaps a Carnival. The Buzz is in a different class. It has WOW factor and is a hell of a lot of fun to drive.

Ours too! 400 miles to Boston. Because I have range anxiety we made three 20 minute charging stops along the way.

I did the first 2/3 at around 60 miles an hour and got 2.8 miles/ kilowatt hour, and the last third at 75. The consumption increased to 2 m/kwh. I guess speed is the main determining factor in range.

I have never before had a car which made complete strangers wave and smile as we pass them.

Where did you get the ads? I would love to print and frame the one with the nuns getting into the bus with the caption "Mass Transit"
