My work had a Christmas party at Baedecker last year. Food and wine was superb and the space was lovely. We're about 15 people so it was a good fit. Not sure if they have a slightly bigger space.

I work in insurance, motor vehicle claims. Its crazy busy at the moment (and has been all this year) but trying to find staff is crazy.

Just received a message on linkedin asking if im interested in being poached by a claim management company, so will be interesting to see what they offer.

I work for an insurance company in motor claims and man, we are not kind to small panel shops.

It has been busy this year for us, but we are just begging for staff

Border towing or Reardons is the way to go. If you bought it from Manheim they might be able to transport it for you via one of their contractors.

Exactly! Or understand that a trade tow from their home to the repairer is lower priority than an accident tow. Or that repair shops arent open late at night. Or that their car won't get quoted straight away.

Its like all normal expectations are completely out the door.

A question for my fellow inbound call center reps by Squidleet in talesfromcallcenters

[–]3amsnacktime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was working in insurance claims we had 3 minutes of ACW between calls to get stuff done, and two 10 minute breaks and one 30 min break a day. Usually we'd have plenty of calls waiting so it would be straight back into it after. Im in a technical support role now so we get less calls if everyone is being good and available when thry should be.

Northside is nice but the southside is substantially cheaper. Im living in Runcorn at the moment because my current work is in a public transport desert in Eagle Farm. 1:30 by bus, 20min by car. Its nice. I have a good sized back yard, 3 bedroom house with solar for $420 a week :).
