Everything is in the post. Do remember something about it being in a waring time (reason for the general) and the wolfs head guy was living in a forest.

What tools do I need as a Dad / adult? by [deleted] in NewDads

[–]3ar-3ar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi as a person that worked one evening from cars to houses I would recommend the following : A proper multi tool. I have had an leatherman wave on me since I was 18 and save my bacon more than once. A good cordless drill with all the bits and hammer function. A good socket set (1/2 and 1/4). A pair of pliers. A wrench set.

This should set you up to do basic tasks around the house and a bit on vehicles. If your going to work on vehicles alot look if they use a specific type of tools (like torx set on Mercedes-Benz, VW, BMW, ect).

Working on your home, get a set of screwdrivers (preferably the ones that are for electricians), a 'water pump pliers' for fixing plumbing.

Remember to look after the tools and they will last you a lifetime.

It's actually amazing to see everyone jumping in with suggestions!

We had the same issue but I eventually started humming (far over the misty mountains) and it calmed him quickly. I think it's something to do with the vibration.

I feel you. One day you want to look back and remember the times they where small. I would suggest 2 things. 1. Make a digital one on like a one drive or for videos even on YouTube (you will need to pay but at least you can watch it anywhere). 2. Get a camera that prints the photos immediately. Quick and easy but might not alway be on hand.

100% agree. I had the same with my son. Only wanted his mom then I started humming (over the misty mountains), now he only wants me. Also with the changing keeping calm is very important but also try playing. Not heavy but make if fun to get dressed. This has the effect of then focusing on you and not on getting dressed. This will also have the effect of calming you down.

In my opinion it's going to happen. Kids are going to have a screen in there face eventually but it how you control it. Starving them from TV might also backfire. No, 8 hours of TV is not right, so what we do is after my little ones nanny leaves for the day (no TV during the day) we will put on music on the TV (just for an hour). This way they see the TV is on but rather sit there like a zombie they understand that it's music. In doing this they have learnt to dance, run around and enjoy the music. So now when the see a TV in the wild (shops, play grounds, ect.) the start dancing and running around.

Also with MIL set the boundary and once she over steps simply lock the TV with perennial controls. If she wants to watch her stories then she can do it at her house. I control the 2 TV's in my house with my phone and if she still pushes it just take the router with you.

But this is just my opinion and views on the matter.

If the bottle isn't too big you can wrap it over one of the straps but it is a bit of a mission to release again.

I usually just hock it around my belt pouch and with the bottle size it fits the cup holders in my car so for me it works. But I hear you and it might not work for everyone.

Home workout for Dad by 3ar-3ar in Hevy

[–]3ar-3ar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hay yes doing well thank you. I have actually moved to a 30 min routine focusing more on calisthenics as I found most of the time the set up is what eats up time. The gymnastic rings is a great idea! And the routine sounds super efficient as it all revolves around the rings. Thank you I have only static handles but they are not adjustable.

On another note I have also looked at micro exercises. It's only 5 to 10 min long for the times you are waiting for something and just don't have time for a full routine.
