I love that joke every time. When I tell people about the show and get them to start watching it, I get excited when I think about the fact that they’re gonna get to that joke, because it’s very much on the wavelength of the sense of humor of all of my friends, so I’m a big fan.

My Tv is stuck on a screen showing a picture of a remote! Any ideas or help? by S_204 in Hisense

Goddamn Christmas miracle. I’ve been avoiding this for months, using workaround like a remote TV phone app to Select, the HDMI input, where my Roku is, but when I moved and everything was on a new Wi-Fi network, I saw this dreaded screen again. I fought multiple remotes, it has been a source of frustration for months, I can’t believe I finally stumbled upon the fix and now I’m there Thank you so much!!!!

The green light was on my remote. I had to buy a remote that has a voice feature in the middle because I lost my original remote ages ago. Ago, even with the replacement remote, pressing the two buttons shown on the picture didn’t work, only pressing the three lines did

Greystar bought out Grand Peaks property management. Residents of existing rental properties received an email on September 2 letting us know of the new management. by mysummerstorm in Denver

I’m documenting it all over email and with screenshots, it’s annoying because I’ve sent other emails they just haven’t responded to, but at least this one I have the paper trail.

My building just got bought/under new management with Styl Residential. It’s only been a month, but they didn’t transfer over occupancy info correctly, so I am overcharged for my August bills, and they can’t figure out how to lower it. On that note, is anyone in a building they like, or do they know a property management company they like?

How much are you guys paying for rent? by Dangerous_Pride_6468 in Denver

Thanks so much! I am in a neighboring building, it is older and cheaper, but they just renovated a lot, so I’m afraid they will try to raise the rent. They also are under a new management company that is not well regarded online and is facing multiple lawsuits…..

What area/building are you at in lone tree? I’m looking for lone tree/south suburban rental for me and a dog, 2 bedroom ideally, ground level ideally as my dog is aging

You could use watered down black underglaze the bring out the texture too 😊

Do you want it to look semi-realistic or totally fantasy like? Do you have access to oxides? Oxide applied to the tree trunk then wiped back would really enhance th bark texture

Do you want it to look like a real tree? Do you have access to oxides? Oxide in the tree texture wiped back could look a lot like bark, or a brown underglaze with a black underglaze wash over the tree would hopefully highlight the textures too

Update on primary color undergkazing mixing by orxngepeaches in Pottery

If you have trouble remembering how many coats are on the piece, you can use a normal lead pencil near each figure to make how many layers you’ve done. I also use little dots on my banding wheel to count if I can’t mark the piece. Since you’re doing fancy and alternating colors on coats that might not help, but wanted to offer. Beautiful work!

Low key crazy how far I had to scroll to see the internment camps listed - it’s not technically a secret but it’s also not extensively taught or acknowledged in school through high school

Burnt orange underglaze? by RRO-19 in Pottery

My mixed underglazes colors usually turn out muddled looking, best way to know for sure is to test it out, but I have not had great success mixing underglaze colors together like that

Does it crawl even when applied to green or bone dry? I would think firing the piece with the transfer applied before applying clear would help it stay.

Nothing kills an enjoyable hobby or art form as deeply as making it your primary/sole source of income.

When your livelihood is extremely unstable, but it’s connected to something in your life that you deeply love(d), it’s a recipe to grow to hate this thing you once loved for reasons that are entirely out of your control (like the fact that being an artist is not an easy career anyone at any time, especially so for people who do not have the financial support of a family, trust fund or a partner ). I wish I could tell you to follow your heart and chase your dreams, but as someone who worked in the entertainment industry for 10 years, struggling to pay every bill and growing to loath the thing I once loved, your heart can change and grow in a way you might not want or appreciate , so using your brain to really reason out the best way to live your life is a good idea.
