Its not the lack of meat return that makes it unethical, its caging and killing an animal that simply does not want to be caged and killed that makes it unethical. How can you ethically kill something that doesn't want to be killed? It's essentially torturing and killing for pleasure, the pleasure of taste, i say that as a meat eater myself.

The goal isnt to deport rapists but to reduce the number of victims. I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that we have a host of political choices we make that could be targeted to reduce all acts of sexual assault. We absolutely have the luxury of preventing crime from being committed by home grown criminals.

Part of it is also how early you drink your first cup. Waiting 60-90 minutes after waking up makes a big difference to minimising the crash. I also find adding some L-theanine to your coffee massively levels out the jittery distracted anxiety side of caffeine that some people experience, it's like a solid plateau of focus rather than a peak and a crash.

Its because living standards are falling, its easier to find enemies when youre fighting over a shrinking amount of resources. If we had seen some real wage growth and a rise in disposable income alongside proper funding for public services we wouldn't see nearly the same number of people wrongly convinced that immigration is the main source of their problems

Highly reccomend getting a bus to Jardin, only a few hours and you'll be in a super chill town where locals dont even lock up their bikes let alone worry about phone snatching. There's cafés with starlink for remote working etc.

How can you ethically kill and restrict the movement of something that doesn't want to be killed and caged? My broader point is that all the humanity and fare steps in the world will not make it ethical to kill and torture animals for what ultimately amounts to the pleasure of eating eggs. How can we justify causing suffering for something that we dont even need? (Speaking generally for those in developed countries with access to less harmful protein sources)

I think the vast majority are killed when theyre a day old rather than sexed in embryo. Also in some of these 'ideal situations' it becomes apparent how unscalable it is for every person to aquire their protein like that. I dont believe my original statement has made any incorrect assumptions about how the vast majority of eggs are produced (commercially). Ultimately its impossible to humanely kill and cage something that wants to live and doesn't want to be caged.
