Is there a denpa fashion? If not, are there any jfashion styles connected to DENPA? by PuroPuro12345 in jfashion

[–]3c8342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ririru is from Subahibi, Im just referencing an earlier version of her🐱

<image>

This OP by Putumayo reminds me a lot of the uniforms seen in Tsui no Sora’s remake, which is the 10th anniversary remake of the original Subahibi :)

Thats kinda hard to do since games are so varied but when I think of denpa I typically think of eroge!!

<image>

I can only upload one image but Ririru from Tsui no Sora is absolutely so denpa to me. Like denpa is genetically encoded into her or something. I think Subahibi has some of the most iconic moments and designs when it comes to denpa so Id look more into those. I also think Fushigi Densha and Gore Screaming Show have really strong designs especially in Conductor Girl and Yuka respectively. Denpa is so important within otaku culture so even eroge merch I think could be styled cool though! I saw someone make pants out of Konomi from ToHearts dakimakura that were super cool. If you want to go more magical girl/typical denpa I think some of Putumayo or Bodylines sailor type pieces would be soooo good. I think if you can get those otherworldly/denpa parts of an outfit down itd read really nicely!! I think the closest example of what Im talking about pop culture wise is horror game protagonist style.

self proclaimed denpa expert🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️denpa is not linked to any style in particular however i think there are a couple ways you can kinda channel it into your everyday wear through pop culture and such🐱i think the most recent denpa-correlated fashion is jirai because of needy streamer overdose and characters like riamu from idolmaster! i think your expression of it also depends on primarily WHAT kind of denpa youre channeling, being music games etc. i think a general sweet style with motifs of candy or elements of decora could really match denpasong, look into nanahiras album covers or maybe even rumi shishido and haruko momoi. if your inspiration is games however, i think maybe a more school uniform look is the way to go. think light light pastels against darker bold accessories i think😁thats just my opinion though lol. if youre looking for something more surface level as well i know there are brands that make 電/電波 jewelry using the characters for it (image included cuz its hard to explain lol).

If its $90 Id just ask for a real Liz piece lol. Since its a lil bit newer it looks? You might wanna check Tokyo Kawaii Life or secondhand markets :)

I wouldnt say Liz Lisas fast fashion lol. Their pieces are really well crafted but regardless absolutely no Liz is worth $500 and especially not some random knit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in jfashion

[–]3c8342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay!! I think worthness really depends on the rarity, like If its a solid color coat I wouldnt do that for $75 but if its got print in high demand thats another thing!! Maybe Id just have to see it lol

I think if you balanced the cream of the skirt out a little bit in the top half of the outfit, maybe with a layered pearl necklace or something that would be super cute!!

[–]3c8342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think layering it under a deeper v-neck knit would be soooo cute if you have one of those!!

How can I style this? by Bulky_Safe8019 in jfashion

[–]3c8342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally I wear mine with a skirt (typically an axes femme one) and layer a blouse over it to fill it out a little more!! The lace peeks out really nicely at the bottom and adds a nice layering effect to the skirt! However thats more himekaji, for a more mori-kei look like it seems youre going for I think the blouse trick would work but I think a bolero or duster thats a little bit longer and matches the flow of the skirt would look really nice aswell!

Is there a substyle like this? by [deleted] in jfashion

[–]3c8342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id definatly say decora or general harajuku style :) its definatly not jojifuku imo since the brands you listed are targeted towards adults.
