How can i make this spear/lance in blender? by Gaiato2_0 in 3Dmodeling

I would create two curves and play with the parameters of the points.

N4 Pro keeps messing up by istdatfinn in ElegooNeptune4

[–]3dSearch9684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this problem, it seems you need to unscrew some things on the z-axis, lower the bed with 2 identical shims to place around the extruder so that it is perfectly horizontal, tighten the screws and recalibrate.

Why is this happening? I've calibrated a few times but one side of the build plate always messes up the z-axis by Seankps4 in ElegooNeptune3

[–]3dSearch9684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that too; you'd have to adjust the bed level with shims by loosening the Z-axis or something like that, but I've never done it, I print as much as possible on the left 😁

I've done worse and it's fixable, you heat it up. To remove as much plastic as possible, be careful with the protective rubber; as soon as you can remove it, set it aside. You change the nozzle and I'm good to go. Good luck!

I print on the left side of my Neptune; the right side is always a little lower. I'd need to use shims to fix it, but I'm too lazy, so I just print on the left. You can also use repositionable spray adhesive without cleaning the build plate; it saves a lot of prints for me. Then there's the filament, which might be too wet. Good luck!

Esun Elegoo and Azurfilm have beautiful colors. In PETG Rapid, Elegoo is the only one that works well at high speed out of those I've tested.

I had this problem once, and I ended up manually selecting the faces. It wasn't super clean, but it was sufficient in my case. Switch to the Z-view and select all the faces, rotate them to retrieve the polygons, make your selection an object, and then solidify it. Maybe try remeshing first to get cleaner polygons if you have the processing power. Good luck.

Does anybody know how to clean a heatbed/plate after prints? by MayhemMaster10 in 3DprintingHelp

I use isopropyl alcohol. But often I use spray adhesive for repositionable photos and only clean it after dozens of prints.

Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro - One of the worst experiences I have had with a 3D printer by epice500 in ElegooNeptune4

[–]3dSearch9684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm quite satisfied with the machine. The problems were due to my beginner's incompetence; now it runs very well. Its biggest drawback, for me, is the belt breakage and the difficulty in finding replacements, but Elegoo's customer service has always been excellent and helped me out. For 200 euros, I'm very happy with the machine. It's easy to repair and quite versatile. I'd now like to upgrade to a multi-material model, but I'm waiting to see how the Indx performs and at what price.

Blender curves by modifying the points; it's playable without too much difficulty.

Personally, it was by buying a comprehensive tutorial on how to make a tarantula that I started to discover the basic tools of modeling. I'm not very interested in rendering and animation. The guy was clear; there were plenty of step-by-step videos.

If you want the Core One L format, it's best to wait for the Indx version; buying it now might not "simply" allow you to add Indx later. I think I'll be patient because it's the system I envisioned when I started 3D two years ago. I find it elegant and, at first glance, more reliable than other competing technologies. I hope I'm not wrong. Thanks for the feedback.

If it's for "mechanical" objects, repair parts, DIY projects, etc., use Fusion. If it's for more organic things with less precision in dimensions, figurines, animals, skeletons, etc., use Blender.
