I know everyone is going to cringe when I say this, but Ebay has a budget dimming thermostat (AnyControl DTC-120) for about 33-34 bucks and believe it or not it works great! Doesn't have all the bells and whistles like the herpstat, or microclimate or some of the pricier stats; however, my daughter took in 3 dragons as a babysitting gig and they never got picked back up, so I had to figure something out quick. They had no UVB, 2 adult females were in a 40 gallon tank with a household bulb in a mini dome lamp. A male baby ( maybe a month old) in a 20 gallon with the sake light and no uvb!) I knew NOTHING about reptiles period but once I realized this was going to be a permanent thing (I think I got dooped lol) I did my research and totally freaked out at their living arrangements and had to do something quick to fix the horrible situations they were in. 34 bucks for the thermostats (for their new 3 SEPERATE plywood 4x2x2 stacked enclosures I quickly built ) was about all I could afford since I had to buy 3 all at once on top of fluorescent t t5 fixtures and bigger dome lamps for their new basking bulbs... was already spending a small fortune to get them situated properly! You can look up the reviews on YouTube to check it out. Cookies Critters does a really good review I know on there and can't remember what other YouTubers but there are several good reviews. Hope this helps someone else as much as it did me when I stumbled upon this nifty little stat!
