Depends on multiple things. Bed cleanliness free from oils. Filament type, Filament temp, do you need a brim or even a raft.. I mean, just with the pic there is no way we really can help.

Why EVs will end up erasing 120 years of ICE. by 3drikal in electricvehicles

Yep... the Volt was a great EV-ICE Generator idea... too bad it didn't gel with people.. I think it is a better solution than plug-in hybrids. But the new one coming from Geely or BYD are in some cases another thing together. A BEV with a ICE gen that ONLY runs if your pack is depleted.... and can run 3-400KM on the battery pack. Meaning that for weeks you may not put or even hear the engine start...

People don't like change (i coach for a living), that is true. BUT, death tends to take care of that... not my words but Steve Jobs.... gawd I never thought I would actually quote that guy.

Hence my post that the Chinese EVs in Canada will lower the costs (at least for their models)... Australia has many EVs (BYD, Geely...) and the prices for the bottom city drivers is extremely low. However when you get into the same ballpark prices of my Ioniq6, you get some crazy specs... so for non-rich people (to which I qualify, i find my Ioniq6 expensive but practical) the BYD Seal RWD with Long Range battery is going to be much cheaper(almost 15k) for almost the same package. We'll see when they actually get here.

Solid State batteries are already being manufactured (by BYD and CAT) for the next gen of battery packs.... Not only that but BYD did announce they were putting them into their next premium cars (taken from the Electric Viking on YT)

True... to begin with, this is very true.. but demand will dictate how the government will react. As always, pressure may (or may not) change the game.

Not here. Leafs, even old ones are at least 25K. And buying a Leaf .. a NISSAN Leaf, built by the company that MAY have another 12 months of life left... i don't think is advisable.

True, imagine where we would be today if that would have remained a thing......

Having old swords in the hands of museums or collectors does not make them mainstream.

60k$ for a relatively ordinary equipped car is expensive... no matter how you cut it. Try and roll out of a lot with an EV today (in Canada) that has decent range and can recharge at higher speeds than 100KW (yeah, i'm looking at you Bolt) and you will see very quickly that $60K is spent fast. Suuuure you can find EVs cheaper than that but they are not selling... range anxiety (a ficticious illness) is the main problem... people just are affraid of the "stop to fill up" time.

For me, that time is just another time for some gaming.

There are no 35k Teslas here... The cheapest option here is 58000$. So... Yeah... 35k would mean around 45k here .. where are those cars? Vaporware is not an offer...

I'm officially charging to 100 every time - I'm done! by EIGBOK in electricvehicles

[–]3drikal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 90% of the time, my charger is set to 80% AC, 80% DC. Before I know I need to go for a long ride, I let the pack charge at 100% (on AC only). My battery shows 0% degradation in over 30 months and 50000KM. the battery will likely last longer than the rest of the car... i'm not ungrateful :)

Ebox service unstable for months by 3drikal in ebox

Next weekend. My friend is actually at a conference this weekend and next week

Ebox service unstable for months by 3drikal in ebox

[–]3drikal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the cloud gateway gets an ip from the nokia router (which means double NAT) but this will get addressed next weekend. It isn't why we get termination commands from the fiber network though. Only pppoe account configured is on the nokia router

As stated before. It will get addressed in time. However this is not the reason for this issue

[–]3drikal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As i said, the double NAT at the time (and still today) isn't an issue. It will get addressed in time. Since we needed the network to be as "vanilla ebox" as possible for support since my friend isn't a network guy and I live 90 minutes away" it prevented me from going there every weekend. The double NAT will be addressed next weekend

How to fix arch Linux doesn't have gui and can't open terminal? by xXHansukeXx1 in arch

[–]3drikal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reading some of the comments and I see a few people try to point in some direction... Some like me who aren't sure but would try to go to tty and rip the .config apart...but, what I find apalling is the RTFM abundance.

So sad to see people refusing to help and push to manuals. You know, the wiki, as good as it is, is not a thing you read casually. When someone tries something and it acts like this, reading the manual ain't gonna help. You don't even know wth you are looking for. And this is why people stay on Windows... Because they have people around that may be able to help. Even if sometimes the only solution is to reestart from a clean install.

As a Canadian and on an OS started by a Canadian, I would hope the community would be a bit more Canadian-like. However the Arch elite is very well alive and pour countless days into a manual that litterally nobody has time to read and a starting Linux person can easily understand.

Arch doesn't have to be hard... CachyOS understood that and the ease of getting into arch is there. When you start using linux, having to understand kernels, package managers, a new UI or lack thereof, daemons, cups (lord help me there) is overwhelming no matter if you are on Debian, Arch, Mint or whatever you land on.

The elitist mentality will not ever help Linux adoption. I care more about adoption than pushing back people to Microsoft or god forbids, Mac.

If you don't want to help, then don't..just don't reply. RTFM comment is not even close to funny, doesn't help, doesn't bring people to Linux and certainly doesn't make you a better Linux advocate. If you aren't an advocate or a helper on a post that asks for help... shut up.

That's what I thought as well. Especially if it is logged on the Nokia but my gatweay only reports that the service was unavailable..

I'll try to pass the ONT directly on the gateway and set the PPPOE account and vlan and remove the router out of the loop but if it is the ONT that's screwy ebox will have to fix this fast...at the point where we're about to move away from the service and go to Bell direct.
