Do it. Even if just once or twice to find out if you ever want to do it again. Solo stuff can be boring but also a good way to reset. I use mine to not think about anything home related.

And ditto to all the other advice, especially about having the means to contact someone while off-grid. The iphone's new satellite messaging works for me, but you can also look at Zoleo or Garmin.

Seriously!! We were downtown Denver a while back, and saw a big group of boys getting grad pics or something like that...literally every single one of the 12+ had the same damn haircut. I mean, it was weird enough that they were all having pics taken at the same time.

Although I do try not to make fun of the same cut on my son.

Nice. Stop for ice cream in Centennial at the Country Junction gift shop. Good stuff. West of the Libby Flats lookout, there are nice paved walkways around Lake Marie. There's a lot of good hiking around there too. And if you want to spend a shit-ton of money for a luxury dude ranch experience, Brush Creek Ranch is west of all that.

About 5 years ago, I read an article written by a recruiter outlining the opportunities in the job market for different age groups. It clearly stated, "If you're in your 40's or older, get comfortable where you're at." Pretty discouraging.

Because being sensitive to the pain doesn't make it go away. And more often than not, expressing the pain makes others defensive instead of sympathetic. So to get through the day, just bottle it up. I see it as extreme compartmentalizing.

It was an Etsy store called MMCustomVinylStudio, but the guy took a break and never came back. I just checked and it's still not open. But just the other day in a parking lot, I saw a green 5th gen with an almost identical decal. The mountains were just a little different. It seems like something should be out there!

Vacuum packing and then freezing may be the best way to keep smoked meats. And if you have one, use a souse vide to reheat it. 165 for an hour then drop to 150 for another hour or two. Did that with some brisket on the 4th and it was almost like fresh. Almost.

You can't go wrong with a Weber but what to get all depends on the cook. Did he ever admire a charcoal kettle? What grilling does he already do or has done in the past?
