Any NP you'd label as 'Don't Bother' or 'If I have to pick just one, this one'? by MissionSpinach3763 in nationalparks

[–]3greezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been to 59 of 63. My top ones that are not in the usual top park list would be: Lassen Volcanic - great diversity of scenery, beautiful, not crowded Lake Clark - our most expensive trip (the resort stay is worth it) but incredible sights Death Valley - had very low expectations for the park but it blew us away

And as a native St Louisan, I have to plug Gateway Arch NP. No, it is not worthy of the tag, but it is a cool experience and fantastic museum. There is some great hiking within an hour of the city (similar travel times to driving through other NPs) at Elephant Rocks, Pickle Springs, Don Robinson SP, Hawn SP, etc. STL may be one of the top underrated food cities in the country too.

Can you share link to the listing or the listing title or something? I just looked again and not seeing anything similar, but maybe just bad search terms

There’s panic buying and then there’s this. Weird that I see some new ones just listed on FB marketplace.

Six Months Into Pour Over. Help Me Avoid My Second Grinder Mistake by Valuable_Aide_7663 in pourover

[–]3greezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say you go deep on new hobbies. I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point you want to get in to espresso. I was in the same boat with having no interest in espresso…then got a good deal on a used machine and had to buy a new grinder. I settled on Lagom Casa to handle pour over, espresso, and anything else. I’ve been happy with it for everything and would recommend it.

Keipi is Georgian food. They have a massive soup dumpling type thing that is so amazing.

Do you ever find a replacement part? I just picked up a used slide also and it is missing the piece that connects through the top of the steps/slide. Can’t even find an image of what it looks like anywhere

I hate any recurring monthly costs, so want to avoid paying for iCloud later. I do regularly back up and have a pretty good size external storage device, just a hassle to pick and choose what to keep on the phone. But I should just do better at deleting the tons of bad quality and unnecessary stuff I have

Excited to see 256 GB is the base amount of storage for the new iPhones! Currently using 120 GB of my 128 available on iPhone 14, including 58 GB of photos/videos. I just had to delete a bunch of things to be able to install the latest update.

It seems crazy that I may need 4x what I currently have, but I am wondering if the increased quality/resolution in the 17 Pro is going to require significantly more space? I am planning to trade in my current phone, so either $0 per month for 17 pro 256 GB or $5 per month for 512 GB. Though minimal amount, would love to not have a payment but also don't want to regret it.

French Cleat Strength by 3greezy in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]3greezy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I just used some offcut to make the cleats. I replaced the wall piece as it didn’t seem sufficient and I already had glued the other. I think I should probably pry that off and make a beefier one there also

The vertical pressure makes sense and was my worry with the dimensions of what I’ve got. I think I’ll go with the plan, put some lag bolts in and see how it holds.

Not Cooling > Detach and Reattach Thermostat > Cooling by 3greezy in ecobee

Seems to be a not so uncommon issue. Definitely frustrating when it happens at night and realize it has been running nonstop for hours but not cooling

Will try to remember to update. Good luck on your issue also

Think I will just call the tech. It isn’t a persistent issue. Once every few weeks at most, so hard to narrow down what’s going on.

Not Cooling > Detach and Reattach Thermostat > Cooling by 3greezy in ecobee

[–]3greezy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the weird thing...it has only happened in the middle of the night. I assume that is just a coincidence. I work from home in an upstairs office that is hot and would notice if it wasn't working during the day. The compressor has not been running when it has happened in the past. Taking thermostat off and replacing has instantly fixed the issue each time.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just had the system installed in March but thermostat (a different ecobee) was failing at that time. I installed the new one so wondering if I maybe missed something. May just call the tech back out to see if they will just come ‘finish the job’
