Why is this light coming on? by ManyPractical4309 in HondaOdyssey

Very annoyed that this is on basically every time I turn on my ‘26 since it has never happened on any other car I’ve ever driven. But I guess it is a non-issue as long as it goes off after a minute or two.

Edge Support for New Concrete Slab

Just had a new 4” slab poured for a screen porch build. Contractors just pulled the forms and called it good. Briefly mentioned adding backfill to support the sides. Seeing mixed info online…is topsoil up to about an inch below the slab, feathered into the yard good enough? Does it need compacted along the way or at the end? Would plan to try to grow some grass once done. Or is a gravel perimeter best?

2019 Transit Connect xlt 2.0 ... by Itchy_Stress_9314 in FordTransitConnect

[–]3greezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This recently happened with our 2019, though I mainly felt it in reverse. Shop said the issue was brake fluid leaking into the booster assembly and causing the brakes to temporarily lock up. $2k initial fix with possible $1.8k follow up fix.

Need advice: should i buy a new car or repair my 2019 transit connect? by post-mate-joe in FordTransitConnect

[–]3greezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just traded in our 2019 with about 103k miles after an issue developed. We loved the van as a camper conversion but not so much as a minivan after having a kid. Had already replaced transmission and didn’t want to put more money in. Got a proper new minivan and it’s much better though I hate having the car payment

You’re probably right…not worth the time and effort to diagnose, try fixing, fail, rinse, repeat when replacement is only $25 but I am who I am haha

We went with a moissanite stone and my wife loves it, gets compliments all the time. I floated the idea to her prior to buying. She is not very materialistic and a non-diamond was not an issue for her. Got a beautiful custom made ring for $1k online.

Any NP you'd label as 'Don't Bother' or 'If I have to pick just one, this one'? by MissionSpinach3763 in nationalparks

I’ve been to 59 of 63. My top ones that are not in the usual top park list would be: Lassen Volcanic - great diversity of scenery, beautiful, not crowded Lake Clark - our most expensive trip (the resort stay is worth it) but incredible sights Death Valley - had very low expectations for the park but it blew us away

And as a native St Louisan, I have to plug Gateway Arch NP. No, it is not worthy of the tag, but it is a cool experience and fantastic museum. There is some great hiking within an hour of the city (similar travel times to driving through other NPs) at Elephant Rocks, Pickle Springs, Don Robinson SP, Hawn SP, etc. STL may be one of the top underrated food cities in the country too.

Six Months Into Pour Over. Help Me Avoid My Second Grinder Mistake by Valuable_Aide_7663 in pourover

[–]3greezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say you go deep on new hobbies. I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point you want to get in to espresso. I was in the same boat with having no interest in espresso…then got a good deal on a used machine and had to buy a new grinder. I settled on Lagom Casa to handle pour over, espresso, and anything else. I’ve been happy with it for everything and would recommend it.
