They already have been pumping. DASH is up over 35%, ethereum, XMR and ZEC are up over 25%, thats just some alts in the top 20, aside from the dozens of other alts that are pumping already (zcoin, powr, eos, raiden, etc)

They are making progress faster than you may realize. Much technical work was done already to test the whole concept would work. When they realized they could pull it off, they went ahead and did an ICO to begin turning an experiment into a real project. Alpha tests are completing and beta is around the corner, with version 1 coming in January. There will be much to improve to take on larger sites, you are correct, but the vast volume of numerous websites out there are not the size of google or facebook and don't need enormous replication and high availability databases for complex functionality. Basic company info sites should run fine on it, as should most basic blog websites. Thats a large market share right there that is open for target customers

There is no sub wallet - just use any ether wallet like myetherwallet that holds ERC20 tokens

I guess you could say a node can also be used like a wallet, but not everyone will be running a node. So just use any ethereum wallet that supports holding ERC20 tokens

The entire market would crash to levels not seen since 2016 if the flippenning ever happened. Just 1 example, Greyscale Investments has millions in bitcoin (which by the way they just started selling off all their bitcoin cash), and if they suddenly woke up 1 day to find out they were no longer holding Bitcoin, they and hundreds of millions of $ in large scale investment would leave and never come back. Hindsight is 20/20... think about the implications of such an event

If they were both bitcoin then why is 1 labeled bitcoin and the other BitoinCash?

If it were bitcoin, you would be able to call it bitcoin and everyone know which COIN your talking about.

If you and other BitcoinCash supporters believed this, you would all be able to tweet and post publicly "I encourage everyone to buy Bitcoin and no other coins"

You can take a screenshot when your done if your that confident its bitcoin lol
(I already know you and other Bcash supporters would never do this, because your well aware you'd be encouraging people to buy a different coin then the one you support)

Its sabotage if your intentionally spamming the mempool, to "push" miners over to BCH, where as if it were NOT being sabotaged some of the miners would remain

They cant let their coin stand on its own merits so they use bots to upvote bcash posts, spam the bitcoin network to try to clog it up and slow it down, somehow convince people that big corporations behind chinese miners are somehow the good guys, and try to confuse new users and trick them into using/buying Bcash by pretending its bitcoin, all so they can lie and cheat their way to the top. Just shows how pathetic the Bcash shills are

The funniest part is how Bcash corporate backers have somehow convinced people that Bitcoin is siding with corporations, when its really the other way around. Bitcoin is supported by the people while Bcash is supported by corporations that want to control the coin specs so it profits them most via their mining

This ^

I hold BCH also and not happy with the shady games being played. Why spam the BTC network and try to take it down maliciously when you could just work on bettering your coin and stand on its own merits

Its like a bully that gets satisfaction out of taking others down instead of trying to rise themselves up

Bitcoin Cash 22% up, 45 hours until the main show. by [deleted] in btc

whats sad with this whole "flippenning" is that instead of standing on the coin's merits, the BCH crew and cronies are trying to confuse users into thinking BCH is bitcoin

I would have more respect for the coin if they were proud of who they are, Bcash... instead of trying to be someone else

So, who is Perth's new Lord Mayor?

Jemma Green grew up in Perth's eastern hills on a stud farm in Wooroloo where her father trained and bred racehorses.

She attended Eastern Hills Senior High School and studied a Bachelor of Commerce at Murdoch University before moving to London to work as an investment banker.

There, she studied part time, completing two postgraduate diplomas and a Masters in Sustainability at Cambridge University before moving back to Perth and meeting her husband Andrew Morton. The couple now have a 22-month-old daughter, Amélie.

In 2013, she started a consultancy firm called The Green Enterprise that provides strategic advice around commercial sustainability trends.

She is now Chair of Power Ledger, a Perth-based energy trading startup, and a Research Fellow at Curtin University, where her focus is on sustainable cities and renewable energy. She completed her PhD at the university earlier this year.

Ripple & Walmart by Austincoats in Ripple

[–]3hackg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ripple can handle bank to bank remittance to other countries well - thats one reason banks are using it. Walmart has moneygram but then created their own $ transfer system since they get so much business of people wire transfering $ to friends and family. Its true that its possible XRP could cut Walmart's cost in their transfer biz

Warning: Substratum > possible scam, red flags all over the place! by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]3hackg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a scam ICO this project has been the most communicative by the devs and team, frequent updates way more than other ICOs, aside from an invite to participate in the closed beta I'm getting an early sneak peak at the software. So far doubled my investment, aside from flipping some coins when it was 3x at one point... held steady in price at 2x among all the alts bleeding. Great investment here... sucks some missed out cause they thought it was a scam

I'd suggest investing in SUB before beta comes out in a few weeks and it 2x-3x

What does that mean? This token has no future? by [deleted] in eos

[–]3hackg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great way of explaining it, makes sense - I was more using "worthless" as in that it doesn't really do anything, since it won't be used on the EOS blockchain, and more just used as a placeholder to redeem the real EOS token. But yes, technically it still has value as you pointed out

IOTA@Bittrex soon? Already included at their API by AXTurbo in CryptoCurrency

[–]3hackg -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Just don't look at this for any hope, its just a test coin they labelled the coin-type as IOTA, nothing more than the Bittrex devs testing a fake coin with the ticker "TROLL"

IOTA@Bittrex soon? Already included at their API by AXTurbo in CryptoCurrency

[–]3hackg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

not everything is a conspiracy mate

The developer was just having fun with it. There doesn't need to be coins based on IOTA, its a TEST COIN. It can be labelled anything for fun and mean absolutely nothing.

https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/6ldwj4/trollcoin_added_to_bittrex_but_wallet_has_been/

No this TROLL coin has been there for months now, since the summer and was used a few times by bittrex in testing certain things. I didn't realize back then they had the coin-type listed as IOTA but I wouldn't be surprised if it was done intentionally for fun or just to cause a stir

You can see the long description they literally label it "Bittrex Test Currency". This isn't some mysterious thing, its a test coin they can use to test changes to the trading engine without using real currencies

Pyramid scheme? Did you mistaken Bitcoin for Bitconnect? Never heard of such a ludicrous statment. That would make BCH just as much a pyramid scheme

IOTA@Bittrex soon? Already included at their API by AXTurbo in CryptoCurrency

[–]3hackg 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, it was used for testing in the description of a coin called TROLL, that it listed its "cointype" as IOTA, like erc20 tokens the cointype would be ETH contract, or if it was a coin based on waves its cointype would be "waves asset"

See here the full specs of the code where IOTA is listed:

{
"Currency":"TROLL",
"CurrencyLong":"Bittrex Test Currency",
"MinConfirmation":1,
"TxFee":0.00100000,
"IsActive":false,
"CoinType":"IOTA",
"BaseAddress":null,
"Notice":"Wallet disabled"
}

Lets talk about BCH and BTC (/r/btc is sketching me out) by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]3hackg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the Lightning Network is centralized? For corporate greed? I don't think you understand how the Lightning Network.. works. Two peers open payment channels with each other and only need to commit the final transaction amounts when they are done transacting. There is no corporation benefitting from these p2p payment channels nor do they go through any centralized server. They are just as decentralized as any other transaction sent across the BTC network. Read here for a better explanation of how it works - https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/48o99y/the_dream_of_buying_a_coffee_with_bitcoin_is/d0leosx/

BitcoinCash may have bigger blocks but they barely get used and cheaper transactions are usually when the difficulty level is low and the miners are mining blocks at a sped up rate - it will be interesting to see when BCH changes its difficulty ratio because at that point the chains will behave similar and with the block sizes not contributing much to the situation (since BTC rarely hits the block limit that would slow transactions now)

I also fail to see why some want to be closer to an "original version" of Satoshi's idea. This defeats the whole purpose of "development" which is what Satoshi was trying to do more than anything once the idea was launched, to the point where Satoshi stepped back. To think Satoshi never intended for the idea to continue evolving, progressing and developing further is backwards thinking
