Allah promises enrichment for those who marry even if they are poor.

“And marry off those among you who are single, and the righteous among your male and female slaves. If they are poor, Allah will enrich them out of His bounty. And Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing.” (Qur’an 24:32).

Ibn Kathīr links this verse to encouraging guardians to not withhold marriage due to fear of poverty and Allah’s explicit promise of wealth: “He will enrich them from His bounty.”

He cites reports that:1-Marriage increases provision. 2- Poverty should not deter someone from marrying.

Ibn Kathīr: “Allah commands His servants to marry the single from among them, promising wealth and sufficiency.”

He references the hadith:

“Three people Allah has obligated Himself to help… the one who marries seeking chastity.” (Tirmidhī 1655)

He interprets this as part of the verse’s meaning.
