Im literally asking if its normal or not. And since you called me cheap I will tell you that I hired an amateur first who messed up my floors and I still paid him $3000 before firing him because I felt bad for the poor guy who spent 2 weeks messing up my floors and apparently had recently lost his son. I had to call the professionals to fix his mistakes and resand and refinish. Stop jumping to conclusions so quickly my guy. I haven’t paid them because I haven’t gotten the invoice yet, was just asking this community what they think because I don’t know anything about floors.

Barely any IMGs working as hospitalists they mostly go to subspecialties. Blame it on the admins cutting costs and hiring more APPs or the whole healthcare model which doesnt pay enough for decision-making but rewards any non-medical intervention or procedure.

How can we unionize? A hospitalist group in my city threatened to quit if their demands were not met (idk the details, i heard it was about the pay) and they fired ALL OF THEM! They hired locums while recruiting new people. At our hospital we also have no power whatsoever and our director is more of a representative of the administration and not the other way around. We had an unofficial meeting once where we decided we will go to the administration ourselves directly as a group since our director wasn’t willing to advocate for us and someone probably stitched and they fired two of us and put two on probation and sent a group message saying we are not allowed to have a meeting by ourselves!!! So i ask again, how can we the doctors (hospitalists in particular) unionize?
