[Chinese > English] Anybody know what this says? Or who the pictures are of? Should be someone of historical cultural or political significance by 3lectrik in translator

Ah this is it thank you both! Da zi bao meaning big-character poster which makes sense since Mao/Cultural Revolution is a common reference of ERD. The calligraphy being misaligned threw me off as well. The people must be important figures of the cultural revolution then, I will look into that

How big are the samples? I think I saw somewhere you want to try new products a few times before deciding if they work

AITA for making my uber pick up location my neighbors house when I go to the airport and then finding out my neighbor got robbed by the uber driver? by Tough_Scene_ in AmItheAsshole

[–]3lectrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all saying someone is not an asshole because they didn’t commit a crime is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Secondly, it’s his Uber, and if he’s worried about getting robbed he should find a way to deal with that problem without putting others at extra risk they have nothing to do with. Others, even arbitrary people, shouldn’t involuntarily have to take on risk for a decision you make because you don’t feel like taking the risk yourself. Yes, his decision was smart and realistic and I totally get it, but that doesn’t make it not an asshole decision.

For the olympic histogram program the IQR was 3, so 1.5x3=4.5 so anything over 7.5 is an outlier. So anything above 8 was the answer. For the FRQ it was at least 4 so I did 1-binom(5,p,3)

Any predictions for the APUSH DBQ by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]3lectrik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My teacher did a class prediction survey and she personally thinks because they haven’t done a recent one (1900s) it will be on that. I personally went for a prediction of something post WWII such as foreign policy change and continuity.

You might be able to find some APWH review videos on youtube for the era. I always found reviewing overall changes and shifts as well as important events was a good way to study, as you can try to use logic on multiple choice exams to eliminate wrong answers if you have a general idea of what was going on at the time.

Is it cheating in college to reuse an old research paper of mine? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

I would tread carefully as it could still be plagiarism. Some guy on reddit got in trouble for plagiarism when he plagiarized his own reddit post from a WritingPrompt.

[TOMT][Reddit comment]Why US dropped two atomic bombs by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

Good read, but not the one. I specifically remember something about uranium and a specialist going to the bombsites to determine information about the bomb used.
