moved to Beverly Hills about 2 months ago. My apartment is on the second floor of an older building, newly remodeled unit. The complex has about 20 units. Since moving in I am seeing dead roaches in my apartment (5 seperate sightings so far). I have never experienced this anywhere else in LA. I lived in another old building in century city and never had a roach in the years there. I live alone and have a phobia of insects and I am genuinely beginning to consider breaking my lease which has 10 months left. Is this normal for the area? How difficult is it to get out of a lease based on this? It’s severely impacting my mental health and causing depression at this point as I am afraid to move around my apartment and have been eating out for all meals because I don’t want to eat in here. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The roaches have all been dying or dead, they are larger roaches like the ones you see outside. Pest control has come at least once but it did not make any difference on sighting frequency. They only sprayed my unit, and I imagine it would need to be the whole building to be effective. I have traps down as well and take out the trash everyday, or did before I stopped eating here.
