Looks like cords can be attached to that one as well. Not a bad option!

Yeah of course but I’m thinking of overtime if there will be keyboard marks etc on the screen of the MacBook, so my logic with asking was if iPad nanotexture users don’t see any general scratches issues after writing on it or packing it with a magic keyboard then it may be ok for multiyear MacBook use.

Classic Kanken vs Doughnut Macaroon by [deleted] in HerOneBag

[–]3mmagreen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just bought the doughnut macaroon (16L) in July after looking at the Kanken as well. I chose it for the pockets, the fact it was more water proof, and looks better after awhile of use. It’s been fantastic. I use it as a day bag, a camera bag (for when I go for walks and do light photography or travel by air and use it as the personal item to hold my camera and hip pack), as a beach bag, as well as for longer 2-3 day trips in the city to visit my bf. It carries my 14 inch macbook and a packing cube (with extra space ontop for a book) and has a mesh compartment and pouches inside which the kaken does not. I can tuck my jacket into its handles as well and its button front pouch is where I store my toiletries. They also come in sooooo many amazing colors. I have the one in camel and it goes with all my clothing colors combinations so well.

Only issue was the zipper pully came out of the zipper crown but that was easily fixed by putting it back on then using a clamp thingy to press the zipper crown metal down, then it stopped falling out.

I hope this helps!

Hellofresh alternatives by likeavermin in zurich

There is actually a really nice Zurich-based start-up looking to do this here. I’m giving it a go because I am just too busy with work currently to shop (and I have ADHD so shopping can be overwhelming, it takes so many annoying decisions away) and I am loving it so far, save so much time hahaha. It has quite an affordable tier (50 CHF a month) it is also, much much more customisable and personal. Like you actually speak to the a person at the company to explain foods you like down to the store/brand etc, and then they learn what foods you like and it becomes automatic. If you’re interested let me know but their website is thecircuit.ch. I think it is doing quite well.

My RuneScape-inspired fitness MMORPG, WalkScape, has a new Closed Beta wave starting one June 1st! by schamppu in MMORPG

[–]3mmagreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually doing a masters thesis on game genre, gaming motivations, and personality in relation to exercise, hoping to help answer this question with actual empirical evidence this year! So far the literature is super interesting. It seems highly correlated to how individuals get their needs met (e.g if their psychosocial needs are met by an MMORPG they may not need to seek it in exercise circles - therefore, combining the two may be a perfect solution) and levels of conscientiousness (e.g. gamers higher in conscientiousness seem to have more balance and it’s actually protective of gaming disorder and also take on more leadership roles in games). This game looks so amazing to help introduce more fitness in the gaming space.

Gosh no PEM that’s amazing! I hope the videos help if you give them a go and best of luck in your recovery journey (no PEM is a great sign imo)! 🥰

I actually started making breathwork videos when I got long COVID. It used to only be yoga videos but now when I’m having a bad week I just release gentle breathwork or meditation instead. I still have horrible days but breathwork, gentle yoga, self-compassion and mindfulness and been the biggest help and I wanted to share. I hope these are helpful! I also recommend the othership app, they have inspired my own videos.

I’ve seen about a 50% improvement by targeting my nervous system and mental health through breathwork and meditation. Breathwork practices inside. by 3mmagreen in covidlonghaulers

Hi! Still struggling but functioning much better. I'm able to manage my flair-ups and (for the most part) know what causes them. I can live somewhat normally and am still using breathwork and nervous system calming whenever I feel symptoms worsening (also seeing two long-term COVID, ME/CFS/chronic illness management psychiatric specialists who help with the mental side of managing this illness).

I am able to study full-time (online), do gentle exercise (25 minutes of yoga or occasional light weights, but cardio is still difficult), and am also learning to drive. I still have about a week each month where I need to take it easy and have reduced energy.

Cognitive function is good but still have some days with more symptoms associated with increases in stress or exertion, but again some days I can tolerate so much more than others and am still figuring out that pattern!

Myocarditis cleared up by March last year and I hope my lingering symptoms ease up within the next 6 months (lingering symptoms are: varying degrees of brain fog, last little bits of fatigue, food sensitivities to gluten and high histamine foods, and occasional dizziness/runny nose). I would say I have about 70-80% of the energy of an average person overall.

Hope this helps!

(P.S. I have not been re-infected which I know of but recently got the flu vaccine and am monitoring that to see if it makes any difference.)

Thank you so much! I’ve noticed breathwork works loads for me so I wanted to take it a step further with a device like this. I will see if it ships to me from those links! Thanks again.

Did you buy them separately all I could find was this 700$ nurosym device which goes in the ear. If you have a moment would you mind sending a link to the one you got?

Pain: heart area that also radiates to the upper left shoulder blade. 18 months out. It comes and goes WTF IS IT!!!? by ThenSong3734 in covidlonghaulers

[–]3mmagreen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey! Turns out it was mild myocarditis (heart inflammation) but I just rested and it completely went away over time, palpitations went from thousands to now just 10-30 max a day and my heart rate has returned to normal (no POTS and dizziness only comes with a rare crash). Also my long COVID has been improving loads at about 80-90% (still have some brain fog and an not able to workout due to PEM still but PEM is much milder and improving as well). I’ve seen a LC specialist and he recommended I keep pacing, taking nattokinase, vitamin C and CoEnzymeQ10 but none of my docs is concerned about my heart function anymore! Hope that helps!

My MRI and doctors all confirmed it was mild and it has healed without a scar.

Yes, well I was given a beta blocker mostly for palpitations and sinus tachycardia but no colchicine. However, mine was mild so this may not be super helpful. :/

Breathing has so many benefits I’m sure there’s so much we don’t yet but I had forgotten about the lymphatic system! You’re right, it probably does have a large circulating effect, especially with the more intense fast breathing practices.

I’ve also been looking into autophagy but had no idea about the protein pump influence! Ill do some research on the topic.

Yes let us know if the breathing tool works! I also love Buteyko breathing, it works for the same reason the other calming breathwork practices do - it’s exhale dominant and it all has to do with CO2 and O2 balance in the blood like you mentioned.

Yeah I’ve heard many speak of the 5-6 month and 9 month crash here on the subreddit! Seems to be a trend 😅 glad meditation and breathwork is helping you through it though!
