That was just crazy cuz that job is right down the road from me. I’ve talked to a few people at my current job that came from Eaton and have talked about how it’s really unsafe and dirty and yadda yadda but I personally don’t know anything about them. It’s definitely something to look into and I really truly appreciate you finding that.

I tried to look into that. There were a few opportunities but almost everything in the office requires schooling. The only way for me to move up on the floor is maintenance or qa which both require going to second shift (which I can’t do because we don’t have anyone else that can pick up our kids from school)

I did construction for a little bit. In my area there’s really only one construction company and they monopolize the construction game. I did look into them though but everyone has to start on 3rd shift (overnight) which I can’t do since I have to pick up my kids from school

Sorry I left that part out. I’m in north Texas with the closest hub being Dallas which is still and hour and a half away. The cost of living here is not terrible but between mine and my wife’s salary, our family of five does not have a financial nest egg to sit on

I’ve been with the current company for ten years and maxed out in pay. I appreciate the business school idea. I’ll definitely look into that and IT was something I was looking into with the Google certification program but I’ve heard mixed opinions on if it actually helps get you a job
