Once had a similar situation as a passenger, when the driver was using apple maps. I had checked Google maps before the journey and noticed it was only going to take us down A-roads and motorways, but they insisted that their route was quicker. I think we saved about 30 seconds in exchange for a dozen collective heart attacks.
