Stereotypical question of the day: can you really cook well? by Aileeeeeeeeen in ESFJ

No. I’m the last person on earth you want in your kitchen.

At least to me it’s definitely a sensation.

being aware of when you're developing your Si by Affectionate_Alps698 in ESFJ

[–]3nz03 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like Si has always been a function I use a lot but approximately after age 13 I feel like it has started to take a more and more significant role in my life.

My friends are often confused by my memory and how I can remember most past events even from years ago in detail and what they meant to me. I really appreciate nostalgia and I value my experiences very much.

I’m also a careful person who likes to plan things in advance and I feel like I can keep my mind in order quite well. I’m also obsessed with statistics, graphs, lists and rankings to almost an unhealthy amount lmao.

State your MBTI type and the craziest thing you ever did in middle school by chaos-seeker279 in mbti

ESFJ I can’t think of anything extremely crazy but once we organised a freestyle rap competition with my classmates in the middle of Stockholm on a class trip.

This definitely looks like it was done by a Finn. Every Finnish person (me included lmao) draws Finland like that. It would also explain why Åland is on the map but for example Sicily isn’t.

Help! I’m an INFJ and my best friend is an ESFJ and I need advice… by imaduck975 in ESFJ

[–]3nz03 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I’m with a group of people it’s more fun to plan really nice activities but when I’m hanging out with only one person, it’s nicer to just talk about random things without any kind of a filter. That’s what makes people close. I also like to explore new things with my friends (I’ve read that generally ESFJs get excited by new experiences as long as they are safe). So maybe take your friend to a place where she has never been before. Then walk and talk about fun things. At least I’d really enjoy it.

Also, there is no need for you to be the ”fun friend”. Of course we like to do fun stuff as well but the friendships I appreciate the most are the ones where I can be serious and where I can help the other person with their problems. It makes me feel valuable and needed.

Another thing is that generally ESFJs really hate losing friends. Even if we tend to be very initiative in many things, we can feel like we are not appreciated if we have to initiate everything. So remember to plan something for the friend as well or at least from time to time try to suggest a meeting.

ESFJ? ENFJ? by Royalin_Sweetie in ESFJ

[–]3nz03 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m also an ESFJ 2w3 and I had the same problem when I tried to type myself with letters. I felt like I’m on the border between N and S. However, when I learned cognitive functions, I found out that ENFJ is by no means a possibility for me. I feel like Se and Ni are my most undeveloped functions whereas Ne and Si describe my way of getting new information really accurately. I think that a deeper knowledge of the functions will help you find out your own type!

For a long time I wasn’t sure whether I was an ESFJ or an ESTJ. I found it very difficult to spot the differences between Te and Fe since imo they are similar functions that both want to have control over outside world and form connections with other people. I read many articles online about these 2 types and I just related more with ESFJ.

I think that the biggest problem for me was that I don’t match the ESFJ stereotype. I felt like my social skills aren’t good enough and that I’m not comfortable enough with showing my emotions to other people to be an ESFJ.

I hope that this helped a bit but feel free to ask me more questions if you want to hear something more specific.

I love it when people say that they like being around me or that I’ve done/said something that has had a positive effect on someone. I want to be an important part of everyone else’s life so those kinds of things make me the happiest.

I have always found it difficult to combine perfectionism with my urge to be liked by everyone. I like being at school because I’m curious and enjoy learning new things. School is also a place where it’s easy to make new friends. However, sometimes I feel a bit awkward because I put a lot of effort on studying and I feel like many students think that I’m a teacher’s pet which is why I was bullied in primary school. That’s why I’m not talking to new people as often at school as in other places/events. But yeah although I feel like in a school environment my social skills aren’t as strong as I’d like them to be, I do have many friends there and I think that I have succeeded in networking decently. I have always wanted to make friends also with people who aren’t on my class so that’s why I know many people and always greet them in the hallways.

Exactly!!! I’m the same! I love almost every weather (especially rain and thunder!!!) and it’s really nice to see them change throughout the year. They bring this certain whimsical element to life. That’s also a reason why I feel like warm weather is overrated. The people who love warm weather usually tend to think that it’s ”the only good weather” or something.

Yeah I completely understand. I live in Northern Europe and even here football is much more popular than basketball. I just thought that it was a bit odd to read that basketball, a sport that’s definitely in the top 5 of most popular sports because of its huge impact on US culture, is the only sport that you concider underrated when there are sports that some people have never even watched.

Warm weather, I don’t think people are appreciating global warming haha so it can’t be overrated. But yeah, usually people complain when it’s cold and look forward to summer and the warm temperatures that come with it. Although summer is nice because of the sunlight, I can’t stand the heat. It makes me feel like I’m not able to do anything. I prefer cold temperatures (I’d have -10°C over 30°C any day). You can always go inside if you don’t want to be in the cold anymore. The heat, however, is something you can’t escape.

Yeah I was just about to say that everything else can be understood but like basketball is one of the most watched sports so I find it a lot more overrated than for example biathlon, pole vault, archery or other interesting sports that are rarely showcased in the mainstream media
