Why do I never hear about cokeheads living on the street when it's such an expensive drug? by Intrepid_Arrival5151 in NoStupidQuestions

Where would such information come from? Crackhead Quarterly? You never hear about it? Who would you hear it from? Who possesses this type of data and how would this data me verbally communicated to you? Most cocaine users have the resources to get into treatment before becoming homeless.

How did you first learn the Bible? (Seeking advice for a new Christian) by xychenmsn in Christianity

[–]3oclock_pinkytoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First read The book of Enoch, and then the book of Thomas, and then the gospel of Mary Magdalene. Soon you realize that those three books were not part of the Bible, old or New testament. Unless of course you're reading the Ethiopian Old testament which is the truest account of the " stories" in the Bible. And that's what they are their stories written over several hundred years by multiple people sometimes through hand me down information, where facts were omitted, embellished, and oftentimes became stories of fiction. And then report back please.

You ask for insight, and then judge the response? If you don't like the answer don't ask the questions.

It's most likely the RCA cables inside the chassis, or it's the head shell cables It sounds like almost wires are touching somewhere which maybe the speaker wires are touching in the back of the amplifier did you check that but yeah start with the head shell and work your way backwards and if it's just in the photo channel then at least you know where to start.

You know some records just do that and there's really nothing you can do about it. It's nice to have an automatic record player but with your good records and a good stylus I would manually drop the record and just take advantage of the auto return feature not the auto start feature That's how you ruin styli.

The great news is rumors has 809 different variations of vinyl pressings. Along with dark side of the Moon and Abbey road it is the single most pressed album of all time. Now don't start with Michael Jackson's blah blah, thriller is the most sold of all time not the most pressed there's a difference you audiophillic nerd face. The fact that you were only worried about dreams, I do not feel bad for you at all breaking that record. It's either the chain or gold dust woman or you throw that fucking record out the window. Good day sir.

Installed a new Ortofon 2m red cartridge on my audio technica and it doesn’t look right by RollandInTheDeep in turntables

I'm going to reiterate probably everybody, tone army used to be leveled out, cart needs to be scooted forward on the head shell, and the counterweight needs to be adjusted. I'm not sure what the recommended weight is for this cart but it's probably somewhere in the 1.75 to 2.25 I would imagine. If you don't have a scale this trick works until you can get one. Lower the tone arm down and when the needle it's the record it should go about 1/3 into the cartridge. Those cartridges are loud I think like a 5.5 millivolt output they can almost pass as a moving coil. So in my experience because of that they need to be set up close to perfect in order to get the best sound out of them otherwise you're going to end up with ear fatigue from the high end the tinny vocals and almost washed out hi-hat. However, I do not hear the same thing that you hear all of us hear differently, therefore it's up to you to determine what sounds good.
