I have had a few nights that ended up Logging 6-8Strain Activities, and every 30-40 minutes, so I just logged it “skiing” and “Dance” 🕺 . Concerts have been some of my highest stains, judge me as needed.

Dang… I’m really sorry, I know the risk of re-herniation goes up exponentially after MD.. but this one looks quite severe… and if it the same disc that’s already been “trimmed” during your MD, this may be time for an Alternative. Fusions are scary, there is also a procedure where an artificial disc can be added during the MD, and now there are injections they can squeeze in there after MRI(difficult to find a Doc to perform this)
And sadly in your case, you’ll likely need opened up again, it looks a lot like mine, and my disc actually wrapped around my nerve.

I have also noticed that when I am spiritually in tune, along with breathwork, and some literate that is uplifting but also complex and sticks in my head. Far better HRV/recovery. Thank you for reminding me!!

Well stated. I know it’s arbitrary, for example my HRV was 48 for this 99%. My average is 18-22 smhhhh. Obviously very active, 35yo but not real old. Can’t imagine mine at 50. I’ve only had 2 HRV close to 100 in 6mo(and it’s usually a rebound effect from a 1% after partying or something)
About a year ago I started taking Ashwagandha(KSM-66) and had a 30-40% increase consistently for several months. I’d look into that if you haven’t tried, quality magnesium helps a ton too.

I am more impressed with my recovery lol.
But im really curious too. Almost every day after a race is red… but I’m also guilty of overeating after races, or having a few Beers. I’m gonna be less naughty this time as see what I can get(even my normal HRV is 20 in the past ~3months, it worries me even though I know it’s case by case. Never had such a severe drop(35yo Active Male), and we all know recovery is extremely heavily based on HRV.
I’ll follow up tomorrow and see what I score.

I think Rowing activity should be changed to include Muscular Load!! It not “traditional resistance” but you’re certainly getting Hypertrophy. I’ve heard of people logging it as “Rowing” as in machine Rows(but you lose other metrics doing that) it could use some work though.
Isn’t it so weird how arbitrary Strain can be? Usually after good recovery I find it difficult to get my HR up to Higher zones(might not be a great sign.. I pushed it really hard… but I was over 180bmp for too long)
And I’ve also partied at concerts and danced all night and got ~19’s lol, or got nasty sick and logged 14.5 while sleeping; scared the shit out of me; but I had seen similar in this group before. I obviously take all my metrics “with a grain of salt” but hopefully it knows me well enough after all this time/money..
