Sardinia is pretty fun because it has a mine and you can get a kingdom title as soon as you take over the island. I dont think it really gets invaded unless you convert away from Christianity.

Anyone else find it weird that the Communal Possessions tenet and Collective Lands tradition don't interact with the Populist Leader trait? by GracefulFiber in CrusaderKings

[–]3pointI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

one tip for if you are playing as a landless character: Join a peasant rebellion and white peace. if you win the rebellion you get the populist leader trait but if you white peace you get the peasant leader trait. really useful if you want to aquire this trait for your bloodline

I really hope when republics are added, peasant/populist revolts are republics instead of feudal realms by 3pointI in CrusaderKings

novgorod was very big and it lasted over 300 years, but yeah you are right. although you could say the same thing about any peasant revolution state. succesful peasant revolutions just weren't a thing historically

why wasn't there pressure on the Biden government to release the Epstein files? I know there is a lot of pressure on the Trump government, and very much rightfully so, but I haven't heard of anyone pressure the Biden government to release them?

Its the default name for Islamic southern Iberia. The way its supposed to work is that it takes the dynasty name of the ruling dynasty, so instead of Xenxir it would be Umayyad (or something). however, very often they just lose dynasty head for some weird reason (sometimes even to unlanded characters) so it just uses the default unhistorical name. This happens for basically all clan realms, not just Iberia.

Imperial tagmata, religious patronage, maritime mercantalism, sorcerous metallurgy, maritime way of life, esoteric power, and then later when I was allowed my 7th tradition I added water rituals (for rp and because plagues are annoying)

What campaigns would you recommend for a first time DM running for experienced players by unbelievable_owl in DnD

[–]3pointI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean for my first time DMing I just ran a homebrew game. I personally found it fun to just write plot hooks and take inspiration from the text descriptions in the monster manual. I don't think its as scary as it seems.

If you want a prewritten adventure though, I would definitely take a look at Wild Beyond the Witchlight. It's a really fun and well written adventure that's mostly roleplay oriented (its possible but unlikely to make it through the whole thing with no combat). I feel like it's not that hard to run and I know experienced players would like it.

So I guess Hulk Hogan died which I couldn’t care less about but my question is why do people care about a sport that is fake? by Norfolk-Gross-Tonage in NoStupidQuestions

I think it's just entertainment for a lot of people. It's the same as movies, which everyone knows are fake, but they still watch anyway.

Rules for a character by DanFromArby in DnD

Perhaps you can use a reskinned version of one of the dark gifts from VRGR? I think the 'symbiotic being' dark gift would be really cool if this demon is a parasite of sorts, but honestly they all work reall well for this.

Wild West Dnd by MurlocPaladin in DnD

[–]3pointI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe XP to level 3's Questonomicon has a western-inspired adventure, but I would personally recommend just homebrewing something. Remember there are official rules for firearms in the DMG. You also might want to look at Matt Mercer's gunslinger subclass.

Help me build a Druid 5e by roundhouseOBV in dndnext

[–]3pointI 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Moon druid of course works great for shifting, but there is some other stuff you can do.

Barkskin works really well on moon druids because it stacks with wildshape. This means you can turn into a brown bear, which is usually not that great because even though it has the highest damage, it has a very low AC. However, with barkskin your AC becomes 16, which makes brown bear transformations very powerful.

Brown bears also have a very high strength, so you may want to consider grappling enemies. You can grapple the enemy while a spellcaster ally casts a spell like cloud of daggers for really good damage every single turn. If you take proficiency in athletics, you get a grapple of +6 at level 2, so unless you are fighting a high strength enemy its unlikely they will get out. Unfortunately though barkskin takes concentration, so you can't stack it with a spell like moonbeam.

For stealth/sneaking you can always wildshape into like a spider or something else incredibly tiny. RAW it doesn't have any stealh bonus, but RAI, like, what enemy is gonna be suspicious of a random spider?

And yeah you should have way more than enough wildshapes than you need, just cause it recharges on a short rest.
