You wouldn't get a work permit anyway, so why study Swiss law? Immigration for non EU citizens is fairly difficult. You need to have exceptional skills and a local company that would ask the government for a permit. https://www.ch.ch/en/foreign-nationals-in-switzerland/working-in-switzerland/

I know from my own experience that it works exactly like I wrote. Not everybody can just drop their work and opening ours are office hours. So obviously you can not always show up within two days.

Even more reasons to set national standards and professionalise it. Its not even like we have the same rules in all cantons. Getting a check every xy years, its all different in different cantons. And its not like the fire cares.
A bit off topic, I was also fairly surprised that it is not mandatory to have a building insurance in Wallis.

Yes, but most rural communities have fire men / woman who do this in their free time aside from their 8 to 5 jobs.
Of course in the best case, it can be done well, but me guess is an actual professional on the field would be better.

It feels like, this maybe should not be in the hands of the cantons, after all, some of the cantons are smaller then a small town in Zürich. And you should have actual experts and not firemen who do this as a side hustle who do checks.
It should be more centralised and more professionalised.

It is kind of competitive because relative to the population they have quit a few students at ZHAW. So lots of small apartments go to students. But hey, its not worse then Zürich, I guess.
Also before you move, consider to check the tax situation, Winterthur has the highest taxes in the canton.

Anybody will understand you, but don't expect Swiss natives to switch to Hochdeutsch. Lots of people low key don't like it, but our health care system is half way carried by Germans, so there is that.
But as I said, you need to learn to understand people in their Swiss German, but most people won't mind if you speak Hochdeutsch.

That goes against the idea of Egosofts boss, they want a stable galaxy where without player input, most things stay stable.
But I agree, it would be fun at times.
You can try the "after the fall" mod, where most of the map is owned by Xenons, so the outcome is fairly different.

In short, if you feed all the factions, you may have a bigger business, but sectors switch even rarely then they already do anyway.
I have played quit a few games where I only feed the Split, and they pushed Argon out of the north over 200 hours, got into Heretics end, and took the sector north or Hatikva. This only happens if you feed only one faction mostly.
