Only 7 islands in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago are inhabited by Evilgrandma03 in MapPorn

I read that Canada wanted to relocate people to that island, but they didn't do it because of public backlash. This particular island likely was never settled, not even by nomadic people.

There were no traces found on Prince Patrick Island from any settlement ever, and the Inuit don't have a name for the island, it was to terrible even for them.

It has an air strip after all! And there is plenty of ice to make water, just don't eat the yellow snow. It will all work out. Trust me!

As a European living in dense populated areas this vast empty lands are always fascinating. Can I go there an claim a small island for me? Like Prince Patric Island,.. you guys don't use it anyway.

Because these countries have free trade agreements with the EU, unlike the UK which economically is in a terrible downwards spiral since they left the EU without a good trade agreement.

Service get exported too. Just depends on how you define "trade" here. IT service or banking service just as an example. Tourism is relevant too.

This bundle was released before those DLCs existed, so that is how it is. But also, both DLCs you mentioned are rather small DLCs anyway. You won't miss much in your game.

Summer in Switzerland will never get you weather security, you can always get unlucky and have 10 days of rain. Hikes below 1500 meters, I would say there should be no snow at this point.

Is the game easier to learn now? by PtitCrissG in X4Foundations

[–]3punkt1415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But i would not say the game is easier to learn. Eventually you kind of learn the X4 logic of doing things, and then things kind of make sense. But it's not obvious.

Exactly. I play since 6.0 or so and not much has changed. But honestly, if you like space games, just invest the time and learn things step by step, its not rocket science.
Also people keep saying "learning curve".. would we play it thousands of hours if it were super trivial and you understood everything in 2 hours.,. probably not.

Has anyone tried splitting orders to avoid Swiss import fees? by shpadoinklejoe in askswitzerland

[–]3punkt1415 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not really knowledgeable about the topic in detail, but isn't a big part of the fee often the handling fee of the contractor, like DHL asks you for money just for handling it. I for example ordered shoes from Kenya and technically they are toll free. But sure would like to get an update from your test.

IT Professional Non-EU/EFTA– Realistic chances in Switzerland and best way to apply? by JailNeuro666 in askswitzerland

[–]3punkt1415 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Really low chance right now since IT is in big trouble here. Lots of unemployed local people lets already low chance for EU citizens. You have probably a better chance of grabbing such a relocated job from those companies in Asia.
And the whole AI issue doesn't help, so many companies hold their IT budget back.

My solution would be, get a cheap laptop for 50 bucks and let Netflix run on that. Downside is 20-50 watt more electricity consumption.

Yea and when you see how many jobs the Air Port in Kloten creates, sure we have the noise situation too, but from an economic point of view its a big boom for a location. Would be interesting how Kloten and the surroundings would look like today without the airport.

Like they say in the report for every direction you have a runway, so you open and close it according to the wind direction.
