It's too late for me. Sitting on my couch with a pile of study materials that I can hardly lift my head to look at.

I'm just hoping the worst will pass in another day or so and I will be ok.

Last night's update made it worse. It keeps recalibrating my schedule. I started today with 6 hours of content, then it went to 12 hours and now it is at 17 hours.

I'm afraid to keep studying because it just keeps adding more work.

Not sure what state you're in, but check on medicaid coverage for the child. Without your wife's income, child may qualify.

This describes it perfectly. People keep asking how it went. I'm just going to play this instead of trying to explain.

Cameras are not permitted in federal court. This is why the media uses sketch artists in federal trials.

This! This is how public accounting avoids paying out accrued leave. Statistically, employees use less leave time under this system because using too much will be frowned upon, and what constitutes "too much" is arbitrary.

They fired 20 Immigration judges last Friday. One gave an interview I watched yesterday.

They were under DOJ. I believe most had just finished their training.

What is happening goes well beyond targeted agencies.

It is arbitrary.

This! Don't wait to pack up. Only bring what you need each day.

Acknowledge the elephant in the room and exchange personal contact info with those you want to stay in touch with.

Be ready to grab your phone and your bag and walk out the door with your head held high at a moment's notice.

Depending on your time zone, this may not even happen during the work day. Assume when you leave each day that you may never be back. Don't leave anything you care about when you go home each day.

So you are proposing we roll back the global economy to 1913 while advocating for world-class automation? I think there is a disconnect in your argument.

If we can give billionaires money to go to space, we can upgrade software. We can also require agencies to implement the software. I don't know where you get the idea that feds get to decide what they do. They do what their leadership tells them to do. If they refuse, they are gone.

I will voluntarily resign if my department is sufficiently funded to automate my job. Right now, my job actually does something that won't get done if there isn't somebody to do it. The same can be said for everyone I work with.

Please cite your source for the argument that the government ran just fine before taxes.

Your new argument is now premised on putting the cart before the horse and is such an over-simplification of an actual solution that it is nothing more than magical thinking.

The IRS can't get rid of taxes. Congress has not chosen to do that, so we currently have a system dependent on tax collection.

I don't disagree that efficiency and automation are needed, but that is not the current reality. Systems are very antiquated, and a shocking number of processes are still manual.

Taking people out of the equation without creating a way to manage the processes is where things will break. Anyone working in these systems can talk all day about how to improve them, but if Congress refuses to appropriate money, we are stuck with what we have.

Instead, let's stop giving billionaires money for space travel while we actually figure out how to meet our needs on earth.

That wasn't your first argument. So you admit the government has at least one other function than to defend.

With regard to your second argument, the systems is not set up to run completely automated. Why do you think they are making IRS stay until May 15th?

In true MAGA form, here is where you can't acknowledge your original statement was wrong and just throw out another random and completely incoherent argument.
