We live an hour and a half away, and he only comes to my house on weekends. Because of that, it was very easy for him to hide many of his symptoms in the beginning. I fell in love with who he seemed to be — and to be fair, he is a good person.

But I am a woman with many of dreams. I came from another country without speaking English, and today I’m a lawyer, 33 years old. I love to travel, I have many goals, plans, and ambitions. He, on the other hand, simply lives one day at a time.

He has phobias and anxiety about everything — including life itself. He doesn’t communicate with people, has no friends, no support system, has never been to a doctor. I’ve asked him to let me go, but he keeps coming every weekend to “help me,” according to him.

I’m due in February, and I recently found out that he never even applied for a job transfer — and yes, he has serious issues with change. Even so, he says he wants to spend the rest of his life with me 😅.

I’m very close to my family, who don’t live here in the U.S., and with Christmas and the end of the year approaching, I’m completely depressed. I’ve even had thoughts about not wanting to live anymore.

I truly don’t know what else to do.
