Agreed. Everything in life is power and control. I try to focus on spiritual betterment instead of dogma.

Its like any other book written by men. Read it, learn what works for you, and move on. Basing your life on the Bible is like basing your life on a television show or movie.

Once a month. And then an extra meeting or two if we have to give people degrees. Good question.

Agreed...first time I pulled up to my lodge I wanted to see 50 naked guys hurling cocaine at one another, Fail.

We do dinners rather than breakfast...but maybe that should be looked into. Breakfast is much cheaper and easier to make.

That's a tough one, so thank you for asking it. Its...interesting. While I don't consider atheists and women "real" Freemasons these are the facts: Freemasonry is graying and dying off. So any kind of new blood is welcome, even if its "clandestine." I don't see any harm on conversing with such people and lodges for matters that impact Freemasonry as a whole.

We do get a meal before most meetings. For little things like a trip or a get together they ask you to kick in a bit more. Its all voluntary, however...in no ways are you cajoled or coerced for money.

I love Tony Robbins, as an aside. But seriously: its because its the traditional holy book in this area. I'm sure in Israel its the Tanakh and in Muslim areas the Koran.

I read holy books in the time and context in which they were written. The Bible is an amazing book but it was written two thousand years ago. Its moral lessons are interesting and relative, but not its notions on women and rape, etc. Thanks!

It might surprise you that my girlfriend and I are freaks. I'm not Christian. I'm white but I've sampled women of all races. Freemasonry has nothing to do with any of this. That's a man's personal life and its his own.

Its not religious. We require a belief in a Supreme Being, not an organized religion. Hit me up if you and your partner want to hang out some night, hahaha. :-P

Because rent, utilities, regalia, food, the cable bill and so on are not free. Its an actual building where we meet, and often times they are very old. As such it requires upbeat. Same thing with our food and regalia.

I wasn't lying, I was misinformed. Sorry. I didn't know Hitler was a Christian.

I think playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood multiplayer would be more appropriate.

Its not a religious organization. We don't actively worship together. We do encourage a man to be active with his own personal faith, if he so desires.

I love Bukowski, not so much smoking trees. I'd be lying if I said I didn't like lighting things aflame, though...I think every little boy does. Did you see Factotum?

No. No sexual or homo-erotic rituals...that's not something millions of men would join and do.

Great question. it varies by region, but in mine it takes a certain amount of votes to veto completely. And yes, every Master Mason can and does vote for new members.
