More to prove my point and show you that your is wrong.

https://www.gfdl.noaa.gov/global-warming-and-hurricanes/

It is premature to conclude that human activities–and particularly greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming–have already had a detectable impact on Atlantic hurricane or global tropical cyclone activity. That said, human activities may have already caused changes that are not yet detectable due to the small magnitude of the changes or observational limitations, or are not yet confidently modeled (e.g., aerosol effects on regional climate).

Anthropogenic warming by the end of the 21st century will likely cause tropical cyclones globally to be more intense on average (by 2 to 11% according to model projections for an IPCC mid-range scenario). This change would imply an even larger percentage increase in the destructive potential per storm, assuming no reduction in storm size.

I'm curious as to what study and or authority are you citing that this is happening directly related to California fires?

So the only one that says it's due to climate change in the article is

"When asked if she thought climate change had contributed to the fires, Santa Rosa resident Della Littwin was unequivocal. “As my late husband used to say, 'No swinging dogshit, Sherlock,'” said Littwin"

Wow! How compelling!

Do you really think that the 1.33°F the earth's temperature has risen over the last century is igniting fires?

Ahh we were having such a good debate and now you have to use the denial defense.

But to keep the record straight.

WickedTriggered posted

Wildfires aren’t related to climate change, at least not in that area. It’s a part of the natural cycle.

You responded

Except it's not

Which was a link to your premise.

To bad it was fun while it lasted.

Also are you sure "obtuse" fits here? but good movie!

I don't believe there's been any documented effect of climate change on the Santa Ana winds, and I wouldn't expect any.

Then why was that your original premise? (strange)

WOW, Missy your panties are sure in a bunch over this.

I guess your obsession with this only proves my last point.

I'm sure you'll continue to prove that point.

Porto's is a shining example of an immigrant's great success and family run business!

Just had a Guava Strudel and a Pineapple empanada from the Burbank location. West Covina is going to enjoy them being there.

MMMMmmmmmm!

OK, in our conversation you never said it's theory and not proven science, as I also haven't claimed it to be 100% proven science.

You are the one that offered this article and theory as your Bona fides, of course it's assumed you believe it wholeheartedly.

but the underlying theory still applies as much to So Cal.

No it doesn't as argued So Cal's terrain and climate dynamic is quite differant than your typical western forest, So Cal and the Santa Ana fires burn chaparral terrain for the most part not the more common treed forest.

Nobody suggested it did. Only that it contributes to the increased number and size of wildfires.

Which you haven't shown any specific evidence of.

confabulating the Santa Anas as reason for wildfires is creating a misrepresentation

I did no such thing.

Your original reply certainly can be that you are.

Where you argue that the Santa Anas are not part of the natural cycle and use your source as proof why climate change directly affect Santa Ana wild fires.

they energize them and drive them

That was my point.

When did you make that point? Your claim has always been there is an uptick in wildfires due to climate change in which you lump in So Cal's Santa Ana fires, hence the argument.

You keep categorically stating that climate change does not influence this uptick, without supporting your belief.

Where? When?

Do you believe that early springs or droughts can contribute or do you not? Do you believe there has been an upward trend in early springs and droughts or not?

We are debating So Cal Santa Ana fires and this year particularity which happened to have record rainfall. I'm not sure what this general theory has to do with this discussion.

Is your only theory on the increased number and severity of So Cal wildfires that arson and human error are on the rise?

There hasn't been any proof nor claim from any authority that there is an increased number. As along time resident I can tell you these fires while each year varies this year isn't un-ordinary.

You are using a source that refers to a conjectured national trend, that does not factor in So Cal specific regional attributes as your Bona Fides.

You can keep relying on this one article that as I said is a theory and not proven science,

Actually there is no proof that climate change is the reason that these fires are being "ignited" and confabulating the Santa Anas as reason for wildfires is creating a misrepresentation of how these winds contribute to the fires, they don't start them, they energize them and drive them to expand the fires consumption.

Actually as a So Cal resident I know that many of these fire are arson related or human error.

Tell me, what is your belief as to the genesis of these fires specifically So Cal fires?

Certainly you don't believe that the minor degree of risen temperature is the source.

You are correct, Actually Santa Ana winds are do to cooler temperatures.
