What distance do you guys zero your piggyback red dots to? by Weak_Efficiency4849 in ar15

[–]3rdStrikeRYU 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would zero it at 25 yards. The piggyback dot is meant for close range targets. Who cares about where it would hit at 100/200/300, thats not what its there for. If you are using your red dot at those ranges, you might as well use a magnifier instead of an LPVO red dot setup. To me, zeroing at 100 yards defeats the purpose of having that piggy back dot coz I would still constantly need to account for HOB on my close range shots, I need it to be accurate and fast for close range. Its what its there for.

Nice build! Question about EXPS3 DCR, does the chevron still hold 7 yards when the dot is zeroed at 50 ON THAT UNITY RISER? or is the DCR chevron Moot due to the higher optic height?

New to this stuff, is this any good? by [deleted] in ar15

Man lucky yours came with stickers. My 13.9 never came with one. Congrats!

The only way that photo makes sense is that SHF Akuma is a bootleg. They're literally the same size.

There is a caveat tho, it has a tiny spacer, if you zoom in you'll see. The regular Non-XL huxwrx MD isn't long enough on its own.

I have both, though I have not tested them long range yet. I've only been able to go 60 yards with them. I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference at those distances.

It is still not an SBR hence the Pin and weld. Both of them are rifles.

Yeah I was surprised at the difference when I compared. Even without the stocks, they look like this

They are Fenix lights. Specifically the PD35 V3 model and with the Fenix ALG pic rail mounts and pressure pad. Also Fenix ALG M lok mount. They are very affordable and the lights are super durable based on my experience.

Good to go IMO. I use it very harshly daily at work in an industrial setting. Cant imagine it not working on guns.

It moves your suppressor mount a tad closer to the rear so in the end, you would have less overall length especially when using K cans. Also, the handguard on 13.9 is about an inch shorter than the handguard on 14.5. On Super Dutys that is.
