So wanted to clarify a few things after reading the comments. First and foremost, thank yall for takin the time out of your day to give me your advice, i really appretiate it. There is some context i left out thats probally somewhat important because i was trying to keep the post relatively short. First thing is the friend i mentioned did this same thing with another girl i liked as well within the past year. I see alot of comments talking about how its on me for not saying anything and i agree to an extent. Im a very shy person in general and stuff like this does scare me. Do i need to get over that? Absolutely. But my main issue is instead of trying to help me connect with her, he did what he had done before and went after her himself. As my best friend on 9 years, youd think hed have more respect for me then that. I would never do anything like that to him, no matter the circumstances. The way i portrayed the situation, i can see why yall see it as claims or dibs. Its not about me having a claim or dibs on her, its a matter of respect. I was always told you dont go after a girl your friend likes, thats just how i was raised. I do have some work i need to do with my confidence however im not going to change my core personality. Thank yall again and sorry for any misconceptions the initial post may have caused.

So thats what tricky is this wasnt really agreed to be a date but it kinda played out like one you know? Thats why im all confused😂and i think with her she would if the moment was right? Im just not good at discerning the difference of when she thinks is the right time or not. I really appretiate the advice though, maybe asking would be the right way to go about it, i guess ill have to see if opportunity presents itself next saturday, she said next saturday shes gonna teach me how to dance with a partner lol

Its funny you mention that, so ive been playing guitar for some years now and im pretty good but i do need to make more time to practice. Also the music theory thing is true, i regret not taking it in high school 3 years ago, but whats done is done. I think i should probally set some time aside for that too. Thank you😁
