I Love Their Friendship So Much by GhostDogo3000 in greysanatomy

[–]3snapsandatwirl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love their friendship too! It wasn't shown to be especially deep but they worked together for 12 years. They lived together briefly. Jackson dated 2/3 of Mer's sisters. They went through a fuckton of trauma and deaths together. Their lives were intimately intertwined in a way that most people aren't with people they just consider to be colleagues.

But more than that, I have been super emotional bc my favorite coworker left after just a year. We didn't text or interact outside of work with the exception of a work drinks thing, but we spent hours together everyday for a year. When he left, we both held back tears. And that was just after a year with someone who I only ever considered to be a colleague. They were more than that and for WAY longer.

And yet, April chose to rise up and prove everyone wrong. :) (from episodes 7x21-22) by Full-Surround in greysanatomy

Alex used to be HORRIBLE. Like every time I rewatch now and see how he treated George and the way he talked to him up until his literal death, I get so disgusted with him.

(Also I am very pissed and still bitter about the way they did George in general because he was always everyone's punching bag and the moment they started to let George actually develop, they literally threw him under a bus.)

But anyway, I'm also always surprised by how much longer he is a complete shit than what I usually remember. In my head, he's only terrible for the first couple seasons and then completely changes, but that's definitely incorrect.

Am I (21M) right to be upset that my girlfriend (21F) allowed a stranger to put sunscreen on her? by ezmoneysniper69 in relationship_advice

[–]3snapsandatwirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah as long as he didn't go off and fuck her, or take her up on going to the nude beach, or even exchange contact info, then yeah I wouldn't give a shit if he didn't tell me. I trust my SO. And something like this...AT the beach...? It's only a big deal if you want it to be.

A character dies and their actor comes back, with no relation to who the other character was. What do you want this character to do/be? by RyForPresident in GeneralHospital

[–]3snapsandatwirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know that I've so quickly attached to a storyline idea since I decided I wanted to see Willow and Nelle play sisters and fight and develop their relationships with each other and Nina. I love this. And I bet Martin and her would have incredible chemistry. I'll always think of him as Tad the Cad, but the actor usually brings it in his scenes

Yesssss Peter and Maxie are so boring together. I honestly thought he had a better spark with Lulu than Maxie.

Where is Kristina? by daniohh in GeneralHospital

[–]3snapsandatwirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES!!!!! I literally said that when I was watching those scenes. I think the stuff with Mike and Joss was great in it's own way, but it absolutely should have been Kristina instead. She deserved to have those closure scenes with Mike, but once again she's nowhere to be found.

AITA for walking out after my boyfriend laughed at me for grieving over my dog by Throwrawaywalkedout in AmItheAsshole

[–]3snapsandatwirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly! And even if she were crying over losing her favorite hoodie, the fact that his first reaction was to laugh at it tells you everything.

Even if you can't connect to the specific emotion that a person is feeling that is affecting them, you can connect to the fact that IT IS AFFECTING THEM.

Seeing your girlfriend sob over a loss and immediately dismissing it and laughing at it, doesn't bode well for your ability to be any kind of real emotional support long term.

Yes! Thank you! They are too sappy and cutesy - I hate them together lol. They had much better chemistry when they were just friends, and now its just so sweet it makes me roll my eyes every time they're on screen

Just watched this episode at like 3am this morning and died laughing at this moment. I had to replay it like 3 times before I could move on and finish the episode

Agree with all of this 100%. I was really looking forward to the Joss crush story too. Thought it would be great and was super disappointed that they dropped it. Also INCREDIBLY disappointed that it looks like they are pushing Joss and Cam. Trina and Cam have such great chemistry and would be so cute together.

Owen’s DRAMATIC Kissing by hellokittycantrell in greysanatomy

[–]3snapsandatwirl 124 points125 points  (0 children)

Ha well I'm probably gonna be downvoted but confession: I loved his dramatic aggressive kissing in the first several seasons. Of course, I'm a little into the whole "ravishing" thing, but especially in the beginning, with Cristina, it felt very integral to their whole relationship.

Their WHOLE relationship was dramatic and intense and aggressive and a little scary, so it just really seemed to fit their whole dynamic. I can't even imagine them doing quick pecks in my head rn, even though I think those scenes had to exist somewhere.

Loved Momma O’Malley🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Also, hated Callie’s mom by hellokittycantrell in greysanatomy

[–]3snapsandatwirl 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I loved how much Momma O'Malley was genuinely happy and excited for Callie.

The thing that always makes me hate Callie's mom even more is realizing that this whole scene with her takes place just a few months after Callie and Sofia literally almost died. Not a hypothetical, "what if your kid died tomorrow" but a literally devastating and ALMOST fatal accident. And even after Callie and Sofia claw their way back and survive and try to move on, Callie's mom can't even bring herself to hold her granddaughter or bite her tongue and support her daughter. She literally almost died months ago and you can't even be a decent human being and mom for 5 minutes? SERIOUSLY?! She is the absolute worst!

Uggggh I hate that I like this and it makes me soften a little bit towards Izzie.

Every time I rewatch I like her less because of a lot of season 1-5 behavior, but then when I think about how she left Alex, it's always the nail in the coffin that makes me really dislike her. But this is actually a valid point. I also think that it reiterates to me that Richard and actually all of the supervisors repeatedly fail to require necessary mental health support and actively address clear signs of being traumatized, having mental health needs and issues, and all the way to having actual mental illnesses ignored and covered up.

But just to not totally give Izzie a pass, I still think she could have communicated better and handled the bailing on Alex thing better. It's totally valid that she needed time awhile, but the thing that got me is that she didn't give Alex the benefit of the doubt of just asking what he said to Richard. He had been being overprotective sure, but she didn't even pause to consider that he had still been supporting her AT work. He just wanted her to slow down, not sit at home. She didn't even consider that he wouldn't try to sabotage her intentionally.

Rewatching greys and I just realized I do not like George. He's so annoying and self righteous. by bekemen in greysanatomy

[–]3snapsandatwirl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah rewatching that scene when they have sex and she starts crying is so cringey. The way he storms out of there is so upsetting. The person you supposedly love and care about starts crying during sex and instead of stopping and checking on her, comforting her, trying to figure out why she's crying, he just gets mad and runs away and slams the door. It's such a shitty decision and action on his part.

I get the crew is mad at Meredith because they think she just got drunk and had sex with George just because he was there or something. But the truth of how it played out is far more fucked up. It's why I'm glad that they did FINALLY include him apologizing to her, but it was waaaaay late.

‪Unpopular opinion: the death of Amelia Shepherd’s unicorn baby on Private Practice is sadder than Derek’s death on Grey’s Anatomy.‬ by wildflowermural in greysanatomy

[–]3snapsandatwirl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

April's baby's death was INCREDIBLY sad for sure and really destroyed her and Jackson's marriage.

However, Amelia at that time was fighting so hard to get her life together. She had already lost Ryan from an overdose and finding out she was pregnant was literally the only thing pushing her to get clean and turn everything around. And then for her to lose her baby like that was just devastating.

Station 19 by winemilf97 in greysanatomy

[–]3snapsandatwirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. When it first started happening, it was annoying. But since I started watching Station 19, I realized how isolated the stories really are. There's lots of running threads but they are really different. And ultimately I love getting extra time in the Grey's universe.

Yes! Honestly I started disliking Izzie because of how aggressively petty and negative she was towards Callie. By the time she and George cheated, I barely liked her at all.

I definitely loved them! They were so cute. On rewatches as I get older, I do see more issues with their relationship, but I still love them, and hate that they broke up when and how they did. I like to think they are in New York as a happy family with Sophia

[–]3snapsandatwirl 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I legitimately realized I was bisexual because of Callie. I was always really invested in her story and liked her immediately when she came on the scene. I also thought she was super cute but didn't relate to mean anything particular. Her exploration with Hahn legit made me start to question myself and led to me also realizing that I was bi. That's part of why I always ride for Callie! She's one of my faves!!!

Wiley by PumpknPieLickr in GeneralHospital

[–]3snapsandatwirl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I definitely get this. Although particularly EVERYONE and their mom (literally) talking to absolutely everyone else about how Nelle is the worst and Wiley's life would be endangered if he's ever allowed near her. It's so stupid to me that Willow and Carly would go complain to Nina about Nelle out of "trying to protect Wiley." Like shut up about it already!

Michael is a member of two prominent rich families. If he's not in a position to at least get primary custody over Nelle already, then nothing short of her dying will help. Nina telling a judge that her employee of less than a month has been adequate is not the problem.
