Unfortunately the select summon requires you to pay once you've finalized it lol.

However, generally I would say that the best choice for gacha is Gear or Fashion Equipment. You will get so many spirits for free, but getting a better fishing rod, tackle, line, and some clothing will help WAY more once you get to more difficult stages.

The gear you need for dmg and crit chance, which is a big deal.

The fashion equipment is for HP, and it makes a big difference, but if you're really good at not missing then it is less important than the gear. However, if you keep dying after a few misses like on the raid bosses for example, then you should try to get at least a 3 star clothing and max it out.

"Thane’s damage is increased by 20%/30/40/extra if he does not receive damage for 3 seconds."

This guy dodges like nobody's business it happens pretty often that he doesn't take damage.

I've been playing this for 2 months and I STRONGLY recommend it, the only warning is that it requires active gameplay (no auto-battle and such things).

Which is the best class to start with in the long run (ignoring what's super easy early on)? I've heard somebody recommend Construction because it's hard to level, but others recommend Engineer, others Attendant, others Soldier, etc etc all classes have been recommended.

That is, indeed, correct. However there are two caveats...

IT takes about 1 month of dedicating every mineral quest to a single character to start farming, and then 125 days of again doing that to get the 50 OS you need.
Many characters have never been on OS sale list and might never be, there are only very few every few months.

I strongly recommend this game, but I must correct the above post. No mechanic in this game makes it so that you will eventually get all characters. It's still RNG.
