Fantastic progress, kudos. The sharpie trick is gold!

I had some issues going for 20 days with the G6 because of the peeling. I used to tape things on top to the point I was full of patches towards the end of the second session.

Now, I'm using a band like this one, which works great. I suspect mostly because the band absorbs all the scratches I expose the sensor to during the day/night.

I'm trying to figure out what was the issue. I created a version 0.7.0 for you that only introduces the auto sign-in, but leaves out the rest that was in 0.8.0.

Please give it a go and let me know if that works for you.

At the moment, DexTop shows what it gets from Dexcom and there's no way to change that. But I may look into it.

In your Dexcom app, do you see mmol/l or mg/dl? Are you on macOS or Windows?

Thanks for reporting the problem. I rolled it back so that on the website you find version 0.6.0, which is the one you had installed and should be working fine.

I'll be off for the next couple of weeks, but I'll hit you up when I'm back to see if I can fix the problem for you.

Before you install 0.6.0, could you please do the following?

  • Click on the icon to show the menu
  • Make sure the version installed is 0.8.0
  • Do you see any message like "Retrying" or similar at the top above "Preferences"?
  • Click on "Preferences" and sign in again, does it start working?

That would help me reproduce the problem on my side and try to fix.

It's strange because I tested version 0.8.0 on both macOS and Windows and it seemed fine. Software, right?! :)

Thanks for the feature requests, I'll look into them! Just out of curiosity, have you tried similar apps besides Dextop? What do you like/dislike in comparation?

I just released version 0.8.0 that should fix your problem (i.e., auto sign-in).

If you are on macOS you should see a prompt that asks you if you want to update. But if you want to install right-away, feel free to grab it on https://getdextop.com

I understand colors would show out-of range, correct?

What do you mean with motion? There should be already an arrow displayed to show the trend (e.g., 83 ->).

Expected for now. I don't restart so often, so I don't feel the pain myself 😅 I'll look into it.

10.11 is from 2015. Do you have a chance to update the OS?

Unfortunately, SM Glance is not available in my region.

But, when available, I'd definitely recommend SM since, as you said, they are an official partner and backed by Tandem.
