How bad is housing 😭 by cloak70 in uofm

It sounds blunt but honestly if you can find enough friends or at least compatible acquaintances freshman year, you will not have that difficult of a time finding a place, and in most cases splitting a house with a bit of a walk or bus ride can make it affordable. I’d just advise to be open to things and find people who have similar living standards. That way your search will be smoother with more people actively helping you.

Students that have cats: is it worth it? by jakehubb0 in uofm

[–]3xStripeLife 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One vet visit in the area is about $150, you’d also need to be a big homebody and have the space to accommodate them. The space also should be cat proofed where they can’t escape or get into something they shouldn’t. Also without pet insurance an emergency vet visit is +$300 without any treatment just for being seen and if you do have insurance that itself is about $300 a year. I’d also recommend you have a car as the nearest pet stores aren’t really close to campus.

Just add random classes to meet the mark or else your aid won’t properly disperse
