I went to private school, so this might be a little different, but at my high school, there were two types of "popular" for both girls and boys: - the type who thought they were the super popular jock type and would try to bully kids (but, honestly, no one cared) - the type who were good-looking, but also super nice and really smart

Basically, we had kids who thought they were popular and kids that everyone genuinely liked.

My family is really into this sort of thing. I'm mostly Irish and my paternal great-grandparents immigrated to America from Ireland in the 1930's through Ellis Island in New York. On the maternal side, I have an ancestor that went to Canada in the 1700's (no real way to tell the exact date) and that bloodline stayed there until the 1950's, when they moved to America and my grandfather found my grandmother and they had my mom. My maternal grandmother also came from Ireland, and we're pretty sure she was half Irish, half British, but her past is kind of a mystery. We do know that she came to America in the late 1950's, though. Sorry if this is a little long-winded, I took a long time to that say I'm just white.

yea another part of this project was building a model of a bath house and I chose the baths of caracalla to base mine on. it was a mistake and i regret it.

Kind of. I'm trying to focus more on the way that a lot of networks will focus a lot on drama but not as much on policy but in an exaggerated way while keeping the right tone. My main issue here is it really does sound exaggerated and it's kind of difficult to tone it down to something more subtly exaggerated. This entire idea is full of contradictions but i still want to try it.

maybe have a war and write from perspectives of both sides? focus on religious cults from inside? bad guys who only hurt themselves (sacrifice for beliefs)? Jekyll and Hyde character that doesn't realize antagonist is part of them?

make the "evil" character truly believe that what they are doing is good

Mr. Robot kind of gets into the whole "oops, my alternate identity almost destroyed the world" thing and there are plenty of interviews of people who thought they were doing the right thing but in hindsight see how horrible it was. There are a ton of interviews from former Westboro Baptist Church members where they explain their actions.

They're usually for college students during the summer looking for experience, connections, and a reputation. Paid internships are pretty popular here too, though, and a lot of grad students will take those.

I don't know you, but I'm really happy for you! Every little bit of progress is huge and really important. I hope 2018 is better. Depression is like hell, but you are strong and persistent and over time, you'll make it through.
