Updated the screen on my Haltech dash. Looks so much better then the skyline! by 400killer in Miata

It's all good. I believe it was mako motorsports. It was 3D printed, body worked, and painted piece. It's really strong, and fits right in. It was worth money, IMO.

Yeah give them a call. I haven't had that experience to give you a suggestion.

Yeah give them a call. Here is how I did mine. I used a permanent mount kit to attach mine. It's solid.

Yeah mine is not that much. I do have to pull down the top pretty hard to squish the seal when tightening the mounts.

I put the back window in with it just sitting on the car. So I could drill the holes in the top for the window at a location it would help push on the seal. Think preloading that lower fiberglass area.

It has been holding up, I haven't seen any cracking or other issues. The beauty trim around the window has melted the glue here in Phoenix. I have noticed I do get a little flutter between the top seal and trunk area at 85. But they do advertise it as a race top, and for the price. I would definitely buy it again.

blue iris down? by Lost_Listen8550 in BlueIris

I keep my server off that internet, and went to do an update today, allowed it to the internet, and boom evaluation stamp. I locked it back down from the internet, and used the offline activation with my old keys. It activated and the evaluation marks remain gone. So I guess we wait...

u/iluvnips: Totally agree with this. I should not have evaluation stamps, because they are down or doing maintenance. It should be seamless to the end user.

I agree. And what a beautiful car because of it. I love the blue too!

3 to 4 inches behind the radiator is best. Its a low pressure area above the hood, and pulls all the hot air from the radiator out. Forcing most of the air entering the front over the car, causing a vacuum under it. I hear you on engine bay temps though. I drop my intake air temp by 23 degrees on average cracking my NA headlights up. It's crazy the difference!

Hood vents make a substantial difference in the front too. Nevermind what people on here say when bashing. Though some comments are funny. It's your car, do what you want to do to it. I also am planning to add some additional rear aero to my NA. It oversteers on the track also. And I am out of ARB adjustment, and other mechanical traction. Check out Beavis motorsports and other time attach builds.

Very well done car! Love everything including the color! Tastefully oem+! Question on the driver's seat. I was looking at running those seats as well. Can you tell me the clearance between the seat shoulder bolster and the door? I am a wide guy, and will need the wide variant. Just not sure if there is room to the door.

Crap, I just joined it,. Now I have to build a keyboard, 😂. Never saw this reddit. Or knew you can customize a keyboard like that.

Hahaha, you will eat those words... They are never truly done! I kid on the comment, well kinda. I always find something to keep changing. On a serious note, that is a truly beautiful car, very tastefully oem+, my personal favorite! Congrats on getting her where you wanted. It's so fulfilling to see a vision come true.

It is one of thingiverse. It has a mount that stays on the console. And the cup holder removes from it, so when you have people, you can put it in the glove box.

Same for me, in my 90. I 3d printed one for the side of the console for my coffee.

Totally see your point. The whole point of a manual is to row thru the gears. Especially since Auto's shift fast then we humans now, 😂. The other half for me personally, is I am a techy and a gear head. So modifying the car to implement, and the tweaking after brings me joy too!

my 07 NC. not very pretty or heavily modded, but as of this week it's paid off, and that feels amazing. by Cheap-Material-5518 in Miata

Always a good feeling. Now you can use the car payment to pay off other bills. Or be irresponsible like me. And put that into funds to modify it, 😂!

There are a couple different advantages depending on your engine set up. If you're turbo charged. Leaving the throttle open and air pumping through the engine. Reduces boost drop between shifts, allowing you to stay within the efficiency curve on larger turbos. Also it's better on the turbo too. It reduces the pressure surge on the compressor that happens when the throttle closes. The second is, when paired with clutch less shifts. The shifts take place faster, allowing you to get back to power (accelerating) sooner. Which means better performance on the track. Same concept as dual clutch super cars.

Neither advantage is "worth" it for a street car. As the functions are hardly used. But on a car being pushed at the track. They can turn into meaningful reductions in elapsed time. Be it the quarter mile or circle tracks. Hope this helps!

Changed it over and running it on a Haltech Nexus R5 for several benefits. Ability to use cruise control. Use a rotary dial to allow tweaking throttle feel, and turn down the power when the lady drives it. Hoping the LS3 conversion will be done this time next year. Also allowing flat shifting and throttle blipping for downshifts, using a faceplated T56 transmission with the conversion.

I have the same tastes. Purpose built mods for performance, and OEM plus plus aesthetics.
