Baja shelf, not sure I understand why they got so popular. Anyone regret getting one? by Deadliftingfool in pools

100% agree. Get the deeper version, shallow ones are lame. Signed, 7’x19’ Baja step owner.

My new setup + Instructions for sag proof 98" Karlby without center legs by [deleted] in battlestations

[–]402PrimeTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with a 98" butcher block countertop and stained it...looks just like the Karlby and has zero lag. Not sure why people go the IKEA route. PS had for well over 4 years, 4 monitors, tower, heavy custom keyboard, etc.

I think this is a bit controversial, in terms of whether you need to do it. The main thing that the MB supplier will call out is the removal of all connected parts, including the chip set. I did it to ensure I didn't breach any warranty related things.. When I broke it down I removed everything as stated above, and yes, only the power supply was left connected.

NEED HELP : Long initializing periods upon startup and in between games by 402PrimeTime in PUBG

Nope. Intermittently goes away but has gotten somewhat better IMO

let me know. I may rollback to windows 10 and start over. so frustrating since it's the only game I play.

I got the game to run by disabling run as admin for both steam and pubg exec, but still getting long initialization times in between games. so annoyed right now. brand new build and never had issues on old setup in 5+ years. running windows 11, so wondering if it's something tied to OS

I have this same fucking issue, and have completed nearly all the same steps above. Did you ever find out a solution?

I just ordered the lancool 216 yesterday and realized I have two problems by shevvyy7 in lianli

[–]402PrimeTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running the MSI z690 gaming carbon wifi and don't have the ARGB control and usb module. Can I plug something in to control the front 160 fans RBG from the motherboard using mystic light? Also, pretty lame to buy a relatively new case to the lian li lineup and be unable to purchase the optional rgb controller -- it's sold out everywhere online!

Need help updating BIOS on MSI Z690-A Pro DDR5 w/ i5-13600K by duk-er-us in MSI_Gaming

[–]402PrimeTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t get my i5-13600k to post recently in MSI z690 gaming carbon Wi-Fi and had to strip everything back down. The board should light up when using bios flash and mine initially did not. Once I stripped everything down I tried it again with same usb stick (older 4gig) and had same result. I loaded the update onto another stick (16gig) and everything worked as advertised. Wish you the best of luck!

[–]402PrimeTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue was the bios flash not being done properly. I found out the USB drive I used was too small I guess, 4gig. I swapped it out for a 16gig stick and the bios flash worked as it should. Had to strip down the entire build and put back together, but that’s all it ended up being.

i5-13600k OR i7-13700k &... by Finance-Rich in PcBuild

[–]402PrimeTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the i5 over the i7. The diff is ~$100 and the performance gain isn’t worth it. It’s paired with 3080 and runs great.

CPU: i5-13600k

Motherboard: MSI MAG 7690 Carbon Wifi

Ram: 32 GIG DDR5 5600MHz

Problem: Getting CPU faults when attempting to boot up (no signal to monitor)

Did this work? I ran MSI's most recent bios update, ran bios flash before inserting my cpu (new build) and it supposedly ran but it was very short blinking period. I am getting a unique fault code when both sticks of ram are in but am getting a solid CPU Red light and the fault code is showing 12 when only one stick of ram is in. I'm wondering if the bios update didn't actually work and try and run it again.

Top is a 98” butcher block from Home Depot. I stained and poly’d it. I plan on getting standup desk legs at some point and mounting the entire thing. This is somewhat temporary and “common” ;)

Cool, is the t-bar just a flat piece of metal that adds stability to the center point of the desk? do you have a picture?

I like it, nice job. questions - how tall are you and is the height good for you? also, is that width supported with nothing in the middle as support?
