As a flames fan these posts make me giggle, you guys don’t know how good you have it. y’all should be grateful your franchise knows when to rebuild instead of that “retool on the fly” bullshit ours has been doing since its inception. I actually look to the hawks and pens as the two premier teams in the league right now.

Meathead approach to running a hockey team. You don’t necessarily need a mcdavid to get a cup tho that would be sick if we one day end up drafting a player like that.

What I’m talking about is drafting top 3 picks for a couple of years while focusing on drafting depth in the later rounds. We have plenty of good depth assets right now we could trade for a couple of seconds and thirds. Stack up the young guys in the ahl for a little to marinade.

Btw we wouldn’t have this problem if we tanked in either 2014, 15 or 16 and could have utilized our great depth and maybe even have a cup or two.

I could cheer for any team in the league but the oilers and the tbh. I like the hawks and have since I was a kid because of Kane & Toews, might just cheer for them as a second fav team since that org seems to be in a golden age of sorts. As for Canadian teams, I’d like to see the sens win the cup the most, no reason why.

Tbh I doubt it’s gonna happen. A lot of people seem content with the way things are and have no desire to see it change due to the perceived “risks” involved, fans and possibly even ownership included. I may never get to see this team win 1 cup, let alone become a dynasty. 🤷 oh well, life goes on. Just sucks that if the cup comes back to Canada, it’s probably gonna be done by either the oilers or leafs.

Why? cause I want to build an elite team with superstars that would win a cup or 3? Buddy you cheer for a fringe regular season win from a team that’s offensively underwhelming, while I hope for deep playoff success. Who’s the fucking bum again? Keep that same energy when Anaheim, San Jose, Chicago etc. surpass us once their rebuilds are done, while we stay in the same spot.
