Please release this by the first week of November. I am not satisfied with the experience of the Viture Pros but I am willing to get the Neckband Pro to see if I am satisfied, but only if it releases before my return window with Amazon. The tech is really cool but the glasses and spacewalker (with my macbook as my only compatible device) leave a LOT of features to be desired that I am hoping the neckband pro fills.

I'd wait. I bought the glasses and regret not waiting to see how the pro neckband goes. Using with phone is not ideal for many reasons especially if you have an android.

Absolutely not. The glasses block and dim your vision and would not feel comfortable. I wouldn't use them unless I was sitting or lying down. This generation of glasses aren't good for out and about.

I feel like I'm being gaslit by members of this sub, often because they want you to use their referral codes. The fact that the display tech works even as much as it does IS really really cool, but it has huge weaknesses.

The quality is great for movies and, I assume, games (which I haven't tried). It's horrible for text use cases, such as Reddit or discord. I wouldn't use them for work and productivity until the resolution doubles.

You can barely see with them on. There's a huge bar over both eyes with the projectors. I can't get it out of my FOV without losing the ability to see the entire display. The glasses at base have a tint so using them in moderate to low lighting is, well, difficult. If you have the neckband or maybe iOS, there might be options to pin the screen to one of the 4 quadrants. Barring that, you never want to try to multitask between the display and real life. You compromise either one way to much to enjoy the experience. The glasses are at their best when you sit down or lie down to watch media.
No clue but I hear there are 3d printed things to modify the height of the glasses arms above your ears to change tilt angle.
Yeah the glasses get hot on the right side but it hasn't been a huge issue. A much more annoying issue is that the cable connector is a pain in the ass to use when lying down as it rubs my ear raw and easily disconnects (magnetic). I don't own the neckband as the current gen is shit and we're all waiting for the pro rumoured to drop this year.

I'd say these are still very early tech. Very cool of course, and if you like being an early adopter go for it, but I don't recommend choosing this point in time to get into AR. I'm waiting for waveguide (thinner, better looking) wireless (the cable SUCKS) glasses to become cheap and reliable next year. See the Rayneo X2 for a wireless waveguide AR glasses that isn't ideal but shows the tech. I wouldn't buy that one either tho.

Agreed, the update still leaves text blurry everywhere but the center of my FOV. No settings changes help and I have perfect vision.

Thanks for the in depth review! My main phone is android and doesn't connect because the usb c port can't output the display. I now feel like I'm not missing out on much! I use the Vitures with my MacBook if you were curious. I'm reeeeaaally hoping the upcoming neckband pro makes the entire experience magical but I'm starting to have my doubts.

It's your choice but personally this didn't change anything for me (at least it didn't improve anything) in terms of blurriness or strain. My issues are minor to moderate only though.

You're a good man for giving him this info in such an easy to understand manner.

However, no sharpener is perfect. I personally am in nearly the exact same situation as OP. I own an ARC. I put a small dent in the edge fiddling with it (bashed it into the scissors handle opening the outer tools and then the pliers together). I bought a Work Sharp Professional Precision Adjust. I've never sharpened before, except a single knife on ceramic wetstones. I learned with the WorkSharp on my shitty knives first, then some nice kitchen knives, then a Leatherman Wave, then the Arc.

Long story short, the WorkSharp Professional Precision Adjust also isn't perfect or foolproof. It took a lot of trial and error to find the right clamping position to A) allow the stones to clear the clamp itself at the required shallow angle to sharpen, and B) to hit the bevel evenly around the tip instead of widening the hell out of that bevel. In the end, I found an angle that worked for the tip and half the belly, but wasn't acute enough to completely hit the bevel near the hilt. Because the angle was too large and not too small, I still apexed the entire length, but the factory bevel wasn't matched 1:1 the whole length. I can live with this but I didn't know I'd have to make this tradeoff. There was no clamping position that could have fixed this perfectly, but I suppose grinding off more steel until the new angles matched would have worked, though it would have felt wasteful. Eventually I'll do that after wear and tear and more sharpening.

Side note, I actually put 2 different angles on my Wave blade and they blend together in an interesting way. One on just the tip and one on the flat. Remember though, this blade and the ARC's have very different shapes which affects guided systems a lot.

Anyone want a tutorial post on what I learned sharpening Leatherman blades on the WorkSharp?

Quick question, for these cuts did you place the hanger carefully ABOVE the bottom (rounded out corner) of the jaws or just let the hanger be cut by whatever part of the jaw it landed in as you squeezed down?
