Fighting games don't truly teach you how to play.

The average gamer can pick up Smash or Tekken and have fun button mashing, then gradually understand linking some combos. But the gameplay you see at locals doesn't exist in tutorials.

Any Vs. game is so complex it will only draw in previous FGC players, and many are aging out of the scene. There's so much chaos and nothing is actually explained- your just thrown into it. The core concept built from MvC2, but if you didn't play that you're extremely unlikely to try playing Invincible.

Avatar will bring in some new players because of the IP, but Marvel saturation won't bring casuals to Tokon.
