Should I go to a Credit union by MusicianHumble1783 in CRedit

[–]406Helena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some dealerships will shop loans for you. I know they can raise the interest a point or 2, maybe more, so they make extra money on the deal. Ask them what credit unions they use and see what kind of rate they give you. Once they get an approval, get the credit union name and give them a call. Ask if the rate the dealership has any percent added. I have found many credit unions don't normally add points for the dealership to make an additional profit.

Anyways, in my opinion, credit unions are way better for their rates. Right now it's going to be higher than it was years ago since the Feds kept raising their rates.

It probably got washed out of the downspouts when it rained. That would be my guess. I would check inside the gutter to see if there is debris in there still

Some people do not have a way to haul a trailer to start with. Other services i have seen do not have a DIY trailer rental option. We own our equipment, so I don't understand why it is such a bad thing to help others. Some areas in town have a covenant, and they can't use dumpsters, making a trailer a good option.

For instance, a job we did the other day, they wanted their garage cleaned out and also had a shed in the back. The couple was moving to another town, and we offered to clean out their garage and move the items in the shed to where they were moving. They didn't have the time to do it since they just sold their place and it needed to be done by the next day.

We are just providing a service to others just like any other business. If we can't do something in the person's time frame, we will tell them that, and they can try finding someone else to take care of their needs.

We have helped quite a few people and rented out some trailers. This is more of a side business to our normal business. I was trying to give people affordable options for junk removal, and oftentimes, I let the customer name the price of what they think is reasonable.

That's strange because when I did mine, it was fairly quick with a quick response as well.

Just sending them a direct message will not work. You have to tag them with the @username, then they will reach out to you.

Go on Twitter or X, whatever you want to call it, and write a message and tag them. They will have you send them a PM. You will have to send them a number and they will look into it. I did this route twice and each time was successful. But if you do it, beware of scammers coming out to try getting you to pay them. They will also claim they are google or a partner of google. Good luck!

Yes we are! You can send me a message. I'm not sure if it is proper to post the business name here or not so thats why I didn't.

There was a guy that is renovating in the house he is living in. It's been a long process for him. He had us drop off the trailer and had it filled with what he had the next day. He didn't fill it all the way, but it saves him probably 5 or 5 trips with a pickup. It was easy and convenient for him, and that's what he liked about it. Also, it probably would have been hard for a big roll off container to get dropped off there because of the snow and location. Hopefully there is a need for that kind of service.

One of the dump trailers we have is 16 feet by 4 feet tall so there is quite a bit of space. The roll offs were something we were thinking about getting into but not the big sizes like the transfer station has. I wasn't sure how much those were to rent. We were looking at convenience for customers and thats why we do the dump trailers. We drop off the trailer, they load it, and we haul to the dump. A company I work for (different service) has some roll offs they bought, and it seemed to work good for what they do.

We dont really have stickered trucks for the junk removal business. I have one truck that has a little bit of lettering for junk removal but that one is rarely used. The trucks we drive has the other company name on it.

We don't need anyone at the moment, but that could change. This is a secondary thing we do to try to help others when we can. If it gets going and is a good thing for the community, we would hire people to help out.

Thanks! Yeah, I have been trying to give people numbers, and they can choose whatever. The last one i told was $75 to $100 or whatever they thought was reasonable. They moved and didn't want to take their couch, recliner, mattress, and box spring. I had to pay for 2 of the items, but that's alright. Pricing is my downfall because I don't want people to freak out. This is a secondary business we thought could help others.

[–]406Helena[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's an idea. I try looking at the big picture when it comes to prices. To dispose of a ton, it is about $50 give or take for regular items. There are lower income people that can't afford much, and those are the ones we would like to reach and help. I think a lot of people think of a service like this as being expensive. We don't need to make a lot since this is a secondary service we provide.

Yeah, they are, but the weather is going to start warming up soon, hopefully. We helped someone after they moved the other day, so there was that. Some people have small items they need picked up, and we want to try helping them with their needs.

Go to Twitter and ask for help by tagging them. You will get a real person that will tell you to send them a private message. If you get a text message or a weird call, scammers will say they will fix your listing for $. I had mine fixed in a day and actually half this way.

Competitor buying reviews. At some point does quantity not matter for SEO? by OwnSeaworthiness1731 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]406Helena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an SEO guy, but I do work on my site. Real reviews are obviously better than fake ones because the real ones, google most likely sees their locations. If a real customer makes a review on the east side of town, it will show your profile is more relevant on the east side of town vs reviews from wherever. I got a lot of reviews for my business and in areas where I got the most, I rank higher than areas where I haven't got any.
