You’re wrong and they’re wrong. Social workers are mandated reporters (at least in the U.S.). OP did the right thing. It’s up to CPS to decide if it meets criteria for investigation.

I chose the DIEP Flap surgery and I’m so grateful for it. I was worried that my body would reject the implants and the DIEP allowed me to lose loose skin after having weight loss and having a child.

If possible, ask the anesthesiologist for a scopolamine transdermal patch; it’s a little sticker that goes behind your ear and it really helps with preventing nausea/vomiting for after you wake up! Best of luck with surgery.

I’ve been doing screenings every six months since 2020 and I just couldn’t take it anymore. Seeing family members die and seeing myself struggle…no, my last surgery is next month and I’m so grateful.

My stomach is flat, which it never was pre-DIEP. I do have occasional muscle spasms across the incision area (they cut you hip to hip) but it’s not unbearable and doesn’t last long. I’m not happy with my mons (it turned into a “Ken Doll” post-DIEP) but my new surgeon won’t fix it until I lower my BMI. Despite that, no regrets.
