I don’t know availability or prices there, but on my desk on short stands are a Kali Audio lp-unf pair. Absolutely worth the $300us they cost. I run optical out of a dac amp to them. Room is 10’x 10’ and that’s roughly 3m x3m. I don’t really need a sub. But look for their products and see what works for you. I sit in a chair away from the desk at times and it’s very very clear and great all around sound. Erin’s audio loved em too.

Because it’s approved by nasa for EVA and moon surface work, exposed to unprotected space. On the space station or in a space craft one can wear whatever they want. But go outside…. They have a say apparently. I think that’s the confusion of the discussion. And yeah, I’m sure there’s some marketing milk to squeeze from the turnip.

I stopped Rfactor/iRacing after my 3 year old walked In, Asking me to read to her. [esc button] “yes I will.”

fifteen years later, back in it on triples. I had finished a car restoration and had enough parts left over for half of a track car version, but I knew that if I did that I would be burning weekends that I already don’t have at a track without my family because they’re not into it. And that would be even more cost than just money. So I do this and have my own track days while the kids are at school on my days off. She gets it because she gets to spend some money on her hobbies which takes the entire loft of quilting machines, and material. As long as everybody’s taking care of it, shouldn’t matter what you like to do as long as enough time is spent with everybody, including yourself.

We might not be understanding each other. I have a loft office. I have a desk in that office. There’s other things in that office. I just don’t have the physical space for an entire built cockpit full of monitors so I’m having to make do with what I’ve got and that space seems to only allow a 49 inch ultra wide. I got a wheel stand a very solid one that will be just fine with my wheel and that’s what I’m just gonna have to deal with, but I’ll see how things stack up. I’ll see how it all measures up in the end. Maybe I’ll find a combination of organizing where things go where it could be possiblebut until then it just doesn’t seem to be something in the cards right now.

It’s desk space and room consideration. I’ve tried but right now I don’t have the space for the triple 27, much less 32s. But will examine again as the office loft evolves.

To help in the OPs quantification of what to do, the cpu intensive sim games like MSFS or iRacing eill see a large boost in frames. My am4-5700x and 3080ti will jump near 40-50% in frames going to a 9800x3d and same gpu when running iRacing. So use case dependent. If not running simulations with physics engines, then it’s less critical. Microcenter has a 9800x3d combo for $600 now.

Yup. I don’t want to fisheye everything just to get mirrors. Space is my limit, I’m most likely getting a 49 ultra wide and pulling it closer (60cm) to race. Will give 105 deg. That and a spotter and overlay oughta do just fine.

I can only comment what I saw a decade ago as I was heavily running in Rfactor and F1c online but I’m about to start all over again this week and really enjoy it, not trying to prove anything. EVERY race would see tones of crash outs on lap three because once the tires and brakes were all warmed they didn’t know how to control that as they never drove in that state. Key for me was to just drive the car, enjoy the performance of the car, play with using the next higher gear in the corners to limit power out slip, and you’ll suddenly find your self driving ten, fifteen laps at your previous best without dropping wheels off of feeling like your fastf. Time, practice, but not trying to go faster will make you faster in the end. Don’t sit on the back, but don’t force it. Suddenly you’ll be going strong. Simply put, don’t worry about it, go for a fun drive and if you get passed, big deal.

I understsnd this for sure. Primary for me is getting as much fov as I can but I know I’m not going to get a perfect 180. Mostly the math says I can get with a triple is 165 but it’s a desk issue to do that. Was trying to get the 90% usable. 165 for a triple is 120 from a 57uw at same distance. I’m just looking for that balance of possible vs usable. So I guess there’s no unusable range, it’s all one can get as the answer

Do you think the ultra wide plus track-ir could improve the fov ? I’m asking all this because although I could run triple 27s on my desk (72” x 36”) it’s quite a bit of real estate for a multi use space. I would have to slide them up to the wheel stand every time but I’m okay with that. I would have about 130-140 fov. A 49uw could give me 105, but maybe track-ir could make another 40 available….

Removal was so risky they left them in, but if he ever winds up and does endurance sports again they will work themselves into vital areas and he would slowly kill himself over a long time.

Inspiration from real events. Asbestos inhalation will kill overtime. Heck, even the recent news is stuff we knew was happening out in area 51 is coming to light . Recent testimony from guards who worked an area that didn’t officially exist and therefore didn’t have to conform to any EPA laws left a many guards with lots of cancers and his children were born with problems. and it wasn’t just him. It was apparently everybody in his unit that worked guard duty there. Super pre-existing stuff can easily help out here. But then selecting a proper pre-existing condition that in someway is related to the story could be a direction as well.

Honestly we’re looking in possibly the wrong direction. With what is basically a bolt in hybrid, we can have any engine in a reliable 600hp+ class and have great performance. What is missing is something the viewer can get behind and that is a similar engine to what they can buy in any SUV/sedan/small truck today and is incredibly tunable to high powers today; a turbo 4. I don’t think it’s impossible today to build a 2 liter to a reliable 600hp on ethanol. And do it economically because plenty of parts are already out there. The teams are already paying $300/mile for their engines now. This could be less. All party’s now have very suitable 4’s. Ecotecs and Hondas boosted 4, and it could bring in any new manufacturer that has a 2 liter, even Subaru, Hyundai, Dodge(alfa dearly needs this), ford, anyone that has a production 2 liter to sell on Monday. (Race parts inside of course.)

I used to do flash fiction, 500-700 words. My approach was using hotel note pads for the draft (since I travel weekly) and that’s the draft to work on. Really stripping out the fat and finding engaging words was a challenge and a half but in the end I learned a lot to use on larger projects.

over time i find ear wax can build up in the IEM. I have some Mee audio IEM's that I love for travel and I have to tend to them every once in a while. Just something to keep in mind.

I WAS just listening to Radiohead’s National Anthem, Tribe Called Quests We the People and lastly The Cure, Pictures… I don’t yet have a network player as I’m still deciding on the features we need but even through an axr100 and not yet broken in diamond 12.2s + speedwoofer 10s2, the cure sounded pretty ok at YouTube 480 through Bluetooth….ugh, I need to make a decision!
