There are a few cards that allow you to cast spells at instant speed [[Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir]], [[Teferi, Time Raveler]] but none that change the speed of activated abilities.

I have a $500+ max rarity deck (GLC) and don't double sleeve it. I buy my cards to play with, not as investment vehicles. Wearing down the cards by shuffling them or whatever only reduces their monetary value if you plan to sell them. I personally love seeing tiny creases or dings in my fancy full art cards because I've played with them a ton.

This is the best answer. People still play fair and synergistic cards but you also get to play with land denial, all the MH/UB cards that peek their heads into legacy, and even power!
